Ross and his little dog Bracken were very welcoming and their boat was amazing for our children and us. We learnt so much even if the weather was not the best and mots animals were hiding. Ross is funny and so interesting to listen to. The boys were delighted to have the right to guide the boat at the end. Truly an activity I do recommend wholeheartedly.

Amazing ! Would highly recommend this trip . Experienced and knowledgeable skipper Philip (and his lovely dog Alfie) guided us through the history of the area and introduced us to wildlife we had never seen before . Cranes in abundance , generations of marsh harriers , bearded tits , kingfishers and much more .

We had a fantastic trip around the rear at Horsey. We saw so many birds and insects. Our guide was incredibly knowledgable and friendly. Highly recommended.

Very good trip with an expert and likeable guide. Saw much interesting wildlife including marsh harriers, kingfishers and gadwall ducks. Highly recommended.

A big thank you to Philip for just the best trip, a real privilege to see a bittern in flight, cranes, avocets, marsh harriers and a great white egret. Very interesting commentary by Philip.

What a wonderful day out. Philip was our guide on Sunday 11th September. He knows so much about the area and really brought it to life. Spectacular scenery and he was able to point out so many birds and insects - Herons, Marsh Harriers, Egrets and more. A day I will always remember and would recommend it to anyone of any age. Even dogs allowed to travel. Perfect!

Lovely hour long boat trip, would definitely recommend. Saw Cranes, Herons, Kestrels, Harriers, Dragonflies and a Kingfisher to name but a few. Great commentary, information and jokes by Russ.

Awesome boat trip. Philip really knew his stuff of all things nature and Norfolk broads. He also was really rather entertaining, and having Alfie the dog on board really topped it off. Great value too for just over an hour trip. Very much recommended!

After going on to the Horsey windpump page I found that this boat trip was available and that it had good reviews so decided to book a trip. Booking was easy with communication by a simple Text message. I had all this sorted before we arrived in Norfolk. So, after we had been to the windpump and had a little something to eat, we went down to the boat which isn't much of a walk on the well-maintained footpath. The trip itself with Phil (as Ross was on a rare holiday) is an hour-long entertaining (he's, shall we say, not keen on Great Yarmouth and it's visiting clientele and comes out with quite a few quips), informative trip about the location you are in the history and the local attractions.

This was one of the best things we did on the broads. Our tour guide Philip was fantastic. So knowledgeable, friendly, funny and passionate about the broads and local wildlife. His dog Alfie 🐕 was my favourite though! (Trips are doggy friendly too, so we may bring ours next time)
We saw lots of wildlife, which in fairness we wouldn't have realised we had without Philip pointing them out, so it was definitely worth having the guided tour.
Booking was easy via a quick text and bank transfer. Although you can just pop your name down on the booking board on the day.
Would highly recommend for an relaxing afternoon. We will definitely be going back on our next visit to the broads.

I will be 8 month pregnant when we are on this trip will I be allowed to do this boat tour?

I would have thought so... just be aware that there is a sign to 'mind your head' as you get on the boat. So you will need to be able to duck slightly as you step down.
Ross is very helpful to anybody getting on so I cannot see a problem with you going on this trip. You will enjoy it. Remember to bring your binoculars :)

I have been before an know we have to book on site - we will be there again in early June - what are your operational times and can we bok in advance please ?

Apologies for the delay in replying... Lady Ann started work 1st May and here are the operational times: 1030 hrs; 1145 hrs; 1330 hrs; 1445 hrs; 1600 hrs. Everyday except Saturdays.
