The instructor would not show up for appointments, every day i need to call the School or send a message, all day you have to search the instructors hoping they answer the phone i pay for 9 hours and a receive 7 hour this is not a professional school
The guys who teach are good but a very bad organization they don't care about the customer, too expensive in relation to the service provided.

Bad Experience with Cubakiters in Varadero

Ich war im Dezember 2015 für 2 Wochen in Varadero zum Kitesurfen bei Cubakiters. Ich möchte hier von meinen schlechten Erfahrungen mit Cubakiters berichten

1.) Spot: Der Spot an dem Cubakiters die Schulung durchführt (Casa 12 Club Karey, Varadero) ist schlecht. Häufig bläst der Wind Offshore. Wichtig zu wissen ist: Der beste Spot zum Kiten befindet sich beim Hotel Blau Marina ganz am Ende von Varadero. Kitesurfen ist da möglich, leider gibt es keine ansässige Kitesurfschule.

2.) Material: Zu zweit mieteten wir im Dezember 2015 Material bei Cubakiters. Beide Kites leckten und verloren nach 10 Minuten an Luftdruck. Zudem fehlte an einem Chickenloop der Finger und sogar die Bars passten nicht zu den Kites. Kurz gesagt es lief alles schief was schief laufen kann. Einen Tag später bekamen wir Ersatzmaterial, aber die Quadratmeter stimmten nicht überein und verunmöglichten daher Kitesurfen im schwachen Wind.

3.) Meine Schulung wurde hauptsächlich durch den ortsansässigen Schulleiter durchgeführt. Dieser Person fehlt es an pädagogischen Fähigkeiten und fehlender Begeisterung für das Unterrichten. Jedoch empfehlenswert ist der Kitesurflehrer Alex welcher ab und zu für Cubakiters tätig ist.

Ganz wichtig: Nicht im Voraus bei Cubakiters Lektionen oder Mietmaterial bezahlen. Dies führte dazu, dass ein windbedingtes örtliches Verschieben vom eigentlichen Kitesurfspot beim Klub Karey an einen anderen Spot immer extra Geld kostete.
Beispiel: Ist am Hauptspot beim Klub Karey der Wind Offshore kann man auf der Südseite von Varadero, nur 4 Kilometer vom Hauptspot entfernt, gekitet werden. Dieses Verschieben kostet aber 50 CUC extra! Daher nie Zuhause vor Reisebeginn im Voraus bezahlen!

FAZIT: Ich werde nie wieder mit Cubakiters kiten. Tipp: Kitesurfen in Cayo Guillermo. Super schöner Ort mit Flachwasser und für Anfänger sehr geeignet. Beste Jahreszeit zum Kitesurfen auf Kuba ist anscheinend der Frühling.

Sorry I din't know very well German. I could agree with client for some part of this letter, but : - all is about the condition of the spot and the wind : this year has been the strangest year of the all century and the Nino stream is famous for being one of the cause. - all this conclusions from a beginner : well done!!! At the end I have nobody to say. Kiters knows what I'm talking about. going to the other part of the world...to have flat and no wind. How many times? best wind !!! Cubakiters

Ho imparato qui!!

Sono stato a Cuba a settembre, non c'ero mai stato prima. Dopo qualche giorno all'Havana siamo partiti per un tour dell'isola. Arrivati a Varadero siamo stati in spiaggia e li sono rimasto affascinato da tutti quei Kiters che volavano letteralmente sul mare. Un istruttore di Cubakiters mi ha chiesto se volevo provare...io non sapevo nulla di kite ma alla fine ho provato. Risultato: mi sono talmente appassionato che abbiamo rinunciato al tour dell'isola e siamo rimasti qui una settimana. In questa settimana sono stato in kite tutti i giorni e...incredibile a dirsi ma HO IMPARATO AD ANDARE IN KITE!! Consiglio a tutti questa nuova esperienza, gli istruttori di Cubakiters sono molto bravi e ti seguono costantemente. Se ci sono riuscito io vi assicuro che tutti possono imparare. Ringrazio gli istruttori di Cubakiters per avere cambiato la mia vacanza ed avermi fatto fare un'esperienza così bella. Ritornerò!!

Great Kite

My son and I really enjoyed our kitesurf vacation in Varadero. After spotting Cubakiters on the internet we booked ot the Barcelo Solymar hotel nearby. The beach is beautiful with clear blue water and we had 4 days with sideshore wind during our 6 days stay. My son was a total beginner while I had a few lessons before, we both had our private instructor to teach us at our own rythm. He learned to control the kite and practiced bodydrag, while I improved from first waterstarts to beeing able to return to the point I left by the end of the week. Jorito, a special thanks for your patience and good advice, as well as for making me feel secure, watching my back during our first sessions. I can't wait to come back and learn how to turn ! Great kiting, I strongly recommand.

Best kite surf in Cuba

Abbiamo trascorso 4 giorni a Varadero affidandoci a questo centro Kite dove ci hanno accolti con professionalita' e simpatia . Bravi e volenterosi gli istruttori, onestissimi i prezzi. I miei amici non esperti hanno preso 3 lezioni e sono riusciti a navigare divertendosi, Noi piu'esperti abbiamo trovato vento adatto sia al free style e l'ultimo giorno anche belle onde !
Fantastica la spiaggia ampia e bianca, acqua turchese da sogno !
Bravi !
