We had such a great time. Nelson & his son, Nelson, picked us up. They were really fun to hang out with. Great customer service, fishing was a blast, experienced & knowledgeable crew. Thanks for the great memories. Highly recommend.

At 6am. I asked Nelson (main captain / organizer) if weather was good today for 2 kids to go fishing today. He said - good day. We were on the boat 2 hours later. The sea was incredibly choppy. All kids could do for 4 hour is sit at the top and hold to not be sick.
Not a hint of fish.
Even if there would be fish, the kids couldn't do anything to bring it in. I spoke to Nelson and he insisted that this was a good day. Unlucky.. bye..
And also, secretary answering emails mixed up communications. Watch out

That wasn't fishing. That was catching! Everyone in my family on both boats reeled in a nice Mahi mahi. Very nice boats and super nice and knowledgeable employees. After we caught our mahi, we brought them to a local restaurant to cook and ate them for lunch which was delicious.

This was an amazing trip, and a highlight of our vacation! 9 mahi mahi, 4 wahoo, 1 barracuda, and 1 Atlantic mackerel! 15 fish in 6 hours!! It was fun, and amazing. Food, snacks, and drinks provided as well! I’d book with them every time I visit! Highly recommend

By a comfortable and very affordable bus from Santo Domingo to Puerto Plata and got picked up and brought to the boat. The boat was powerful and fishing gear in excellent condition. The captain and the first mate professional and ftiendly. Lots of refreshmens available and the upper deck provides a more comfortsble area to the hot game zone. It was not a high season for Big game but you never know…
Prefer fishing to a day at the office any day and one of us got her first catches deep sea fishing which was marvellous! Recommend this trip you get to play right away no long drives to fishing sites.

Our family was a group of 7 of various ages. The crew made sure we all had a great time and we were safe. The boat was super clean and the coolers were full of cold drinks. They made sure we caught fish and a variety too. There was a period of time that we had 3 fish on at the same time. Overall we have been on several charters and this one was by far the best. They made it very easy to catch fish on our cruise stop by coordinating a cab to be waiting for us. Book without fears. We had a great time.

The trip was amazing! Daddy-o and el Capitan were great to me, my wife and 3 kids (6,9,13). We caught 2 barracuda, and a yellow fin tuna. Great group of guys and great company. I highly recommend!

Went with High Z's fishing on Feb. 17th 2024. 4 of us my son, son-in -law and grandson that is 7 years old. Went on 6 hr trip. The staff was excellent did a great job with my grandson and the rest of the family. We caught wahoo, Tuna, Mahi-Mahi as well as Barracuda. The sea was rough but the 50 footer we were on handled it well. I strongly reccomend this outfit

Amazing first experience deep sea fishing. Captain Nelson picked us up from our resort and was super friendly. Captain Richard and his first mate were super nice as well and had food and drinks for us. We ended up catching a marlin and a barracuda. It was a great time and great memories

So initially I booked a half day boat charter for $400. Moments later, after paying a small deposit, I was told the date and boat selected were unavialble. Instead I was offered a different time zone and was only given an option to upgrade to a "better" boat for an additional $100 since the $400 boat was under "repairs". Being that time was limited and our group was anxious we opted to pay more since there were no other options. Now to the boat, it was okay, the drinks included were small coors light beers, a few sodas, water and chips. The boat trolled the ENTIRE time! The boat did not stop during the 4hrs we were on it. The mate on the boat claimed we were going to stop by two buoys they had floating on the water where we would fish. After about 2 and half hours, we hit the second buoy. We trolled around it, and a fish was on. However, the mate failed to set the hook correctly and as it was reeled in, got off! that was the only action we got. So now to the 1st buoy, he claimed he forgot where it was, I asked if we were going to visit a different spot and he said no, maybe troll some more on the way back. I had to remind the mate to check on bait as he didn't seem to concerened with this. I've been on boats in the States where if they're not catching anything which I know (it's called fishing not catching!) they try different techniques, places etc. We have the whole ocean and these guys drove for 2 and half hours to get to one spot and just "circle" it. Why didn't they offer jigging? So ad claimed they had fish finder, yet I feel they didn't have one and if they did, they didn't rely on it. Mate on boat had to stay above to indicate to boat captain where to fish. I WILL NEVER FISH on a charter in Dominican Republic again! I trusted these reviews and for me to leave this kind of review means this experience was horrible! make sure you don't eat anything otherewise you'll be puking the whole time. Who trolls for 4 hrs straight?? makes no freaking sense! Owner was quick to collect his cash and bye bye. Despite all this, we still tipped handsomely. We were sold many stories about all the fish they've caught in the past yet we didn't get more than one bite. Do your due dilligence and research $500 is a lot of money for 4 hours! Do yourself a favor and hire a smaller local fisherman and join them on their boat for a better experience.

Hi Nelson- We are traveling to Puerta Plata on 4/11/18 and are looking to book a tour before we leave on 4/18. Initially I was going to just send my father and husband, but now I am thinking of making it a family adventure and bringing my mom and 11 year old daughter. That would make 5 of us--I am also traveling with a (2) month old infant who I would wear in a baby carrier on me. Any concerns about the infant?

I'm Nelson/ the Captain, thanks for choosing us to go fishing. I'll do my best to give you a good time.
Chart rates are:
800 dollars for a full day, 600 dollars for 3/4 of day and 400 dollars for half day, with those prices you can bring until five people.
Services includes soda, beer, water, fruits, snacks.
(Full and 3/4 of day includes sandwiches). All charter includes round trip to hotel or port.
Our boat have a maximum capacity of clients of 10, additional pax pays an extra rate.

Hi there. Im heading there (from Canada) the week of March 11-18 (the 11&18 are check in/out travel days) and I'm the only one in my party that would be participating, but is there any 1/2 day trips that I could join? How much for just myself, and is it doable?

good night Jennifer ! im nelson I'm the captain. im available the 3 ,5 to 9th. you can take any of those day ,the rates for charter 800dollars full day is 8 hours fishing ,3/4 of day is 600dollas is 6 hours fishing and half of day is 400dollars ,is 4hours fishing, is everything including, soda,water,beers,fruits,snack, sandwiches in a full day and 3/4 of day ,also we cook the fish on board ,for those prices you can bring until five persons. for reserve just need to know the day than you want to go fishing and the hotel name to pick you up ,if you need more information email or call me 809 299 6336.thank and good night

Looking for a half day trip for 3 on 1/31/17 are we able to do bottom and deep sea in a half day trip would there be someone or somewhere that would cook our catch if we get something

Just to reply to your question, on a half day tour we can only do one or the other
we can't do both. Unless it's a full day tour and there we can do both. As to our availability for 1/31/2017 we are booked for that date. Were available on the day before or the day after 1/31/2017.
If you where to catch anything it could be cooked on board!
