I went to Ricks thinking it would be a great time. It started off well. I had some food and listened to the music. Then I decided to do cliff jumping. We were watching the people jump and one girl was passed out on the side of the cliff. There was only one lifeguard there helping and they were there for a while. I’m a nurse so being a Good Samaritan I thought I should go help. It was pouring rain and I slipped down the stairs. I sprained my ankle (and badly bruised my tailbone). No one was there to help me. I had to yell until finally the lifeguard heard me and wrapped my ankle. When I was going to leave the manager was asking what happened and started laughing at me that I went to help the girl. I couldn’t believe the level of professionalism at this place. Not only is it NOT safe at all but then they treat you like garbage on top of it. Instead of apologizing or asking if I needed anything I got the opposite. If you guys decide to go here please go at your own risk and be VERY VERY careful!!

Upon entering, they check your bags. Once you enter, jumping is free but they ask for donations. There are 2 places to jump from - if you pass the first jump with proper form then you can make the higher jump.
There are smaller jumps off to the side. The water is super blue and lovely.
There's a bar where you can eat and drink. Amenities on site.
Prefer to do during the day before it becomes super crowded at sunset.

Honestly this place was totally touristy but still such a hoot!! The food and drinks were a little expensive but very tasty. It was definitely very loud but the DJ was very funny and we had a fun time watching the impromptu dance competition. We enjoyed watching the divers jump off the cliffs and gathered the courage to jump off the 35ft cliff ourselves! What a rush!! This scene isn't for everyone but if you're a party person or want to have just a fun touristy time, this is worth the stop.

It's Rick's. If you stay in Negril, you really don't have to go unless you wanna jump the cliffs. It's the same sunset on 7 Mile with less crowds. This is 1st visit after 5 visits to Jamaica. The party atmosphere is on point. Food is trash, not worth it

Bought a trip here via our tui holiday rep who advised us there was live music every night and beautiful place to watch the sunset. Weather bad so there was no sunset to watch unfortunately. No live music only an incredibly LOUD DJ playing R n B for the 3 hours of our trip. Butlins type party games. Very packed here. Not a classy joint. More of a club 18-30 vibe. We retreated to the car park to finish our drinks for the last hour as couldn't beat the noise any longer. Only saving grace was the cliffhanger burger which was very tasty although a little pricey at 18 dollars. Probably alot nicer places to watch the sunset.

Visited Rick's cafe and was a huge disappointment.
From entry they confiscated any drinks you have, including bottles of water. They want you to spend money on drinks, but to take water away should be a crime.
Massively overhyped place, only good if you are extremely drunk and want to get ripped off. Food prices are extortionate.
Yes there was cliff diving but not really anything that special. And for the sunset, it was not that good, better places in Jamaica to see.

What’s not to love!! music, diving, great music and people. A must go for sunset and cliff diving. Small pool. Divers take up donations then when have enough they jump. It’s fun to watch them. We get the lowers areas to jump off the cliffs from. Will be back in August to do it again! 🥰

Terribly LOUD. I didn't sign up for a rock concert. Being on tour, we were stuck there for 2 hours. Not fun at all!

I’m afraid I don’t know that, as we were just there on a tour as well. I would say to ask Ricks cafe and see if they’ll give you an answer.

I was there about 2 months ago. I booked my resort on expedia and my flight I booked myself direct with jetblue because I had the greatest amount of flight combinations of flights for my trip. This way I could get the best deal. I flew there from one airport but returned at another saving about $300. This was not offered by the travel compay

My fiancée and I had a beer and a G&T and it was $16.
If you fancy going for a few drinks and spending a while there or eating I would get a taxi. If you are just going to see it, have a drink, do the cliff jump, I would do the excursion.
