During our stay in San Juan we had a chance to see The Fiddler on the Roof musical. We bought cheapest tickets (only 15$!), but were reseated to excellent places.
Lovely theatre, great service, brilliant performance.... we loved it!

Fuimos un grupo a ver a Titantos en el teatro, lugar accesible debido a que esta cerca caminando del estacionamiento de Doña Fela, para llegar del estacionamiento caminas muy poco y en ese camino hay restaurantes, que lo hace cómodo, comer, estar en el teatro y estacionarse. El teatro muy bonito aunque a mi no me paso 2 de mi grupo estaban incómodas en sus asientos ya que se deslizaban para alante. Quizás un poco pegado del asiento de al frente. Pero el lugar estaba limpio, sano, luces, techo y la belleza de sus balcones. El baño solo está en el segundo piso. Teatro acogedor.

Perfect location and intimate theatre. All seats are full view seats in my opinion as the theatre is small compared to theatres in NYC. The sound was perfect and the staff was very friend. The theatre is located next to great restaurants and bars too. It was a 10 minute cab ride from my hotel in Condado area.

The first time I went into this theater was back in 1985, a trip from school to see a show;. It was awesome, the place, the decorations, everything, the sound. My wife and I we like to go and enjoy plays and other shows and still visit this place whenever we’ve the time (there are a lot of show during the year), after all those years, this place still keeps it's magic. It’s still awesome, the place, the nostalgic, everything; besides it’s located in Old San Juan, so, you can come here and also enjoy some good food (a lot of good places to eat nearby) and a walk thru San Juan. If you’ve the chance, enjoy a good show here.

Just back from a great jazz concert at Teatro Tapia. Excellent acoustics and what great music. Next project: getting similar acoustics for my living room.
It is also very comfortable and elegant theatre. The inside arrangement was quite interesting. Most of the seats are in the ground floor, one side with the even number seats and the other with the odd numbered seats. The first six rows are somewhat below the stage, and we had the perfect seats around row 8. The balcony seats look like the balconies of old San Juan. It provides a feeling of a show where the Old San Juan residents are looking and enjoying from the balconies.
The theater is in excellent condition, and the service staff (ushers) - etc providing timely support.
If you go to a show make sure you arrive an hour early, so you have time to look around.

Es un teatro antiguo pero muy comodo y
bien cuidado donde se llevan a cabo toda obras de teatro localizado en el Viejo San juan despues de visitarlo a sus alrededores hay restaurante tiendas de artesanias tipica del pais.

This is theater is under the costudy of the SJ Mayor office it is very well kept they aretrying to keep it as it was in past centuries is a land mark if they have a show try to for they have the best performers from PR.

I took a tour with my friends and people recommend us the Boriken show held in this beautiful theatre. Amazing music and dancers that guides you through the history of Puerto Rico.

Are tours of the theater available without booking a show?
I would like to know the tickets booth opening hours at the Teatro Tapia.. The telephone is always busy: 787-721-0169.
I live in San Juan and have been many times at this old theater, nicely renovated and looking like a Madrid theater.
