Sherman and his crew will set you and your group up on some excellent horses. They'll give you as much assistance and training as you need. Most in our group had little or no riding experience. I hadn't ridden much, and the last time was long ago, so a little refresher was given to me. Like most stables of this kind, the horses are use to traveling in a line. (Mine enjoyed being in the lead.) we rode through the plantation and our guides pointed out various kinds of coconut trees, mangos, cocoa, and pineapple plants. They'll give you an opportunity to taste a cocoa bean. (The goo on it is surprisingly sour and tasty. Nothing like chocolate.) The crew also cracks open a coconut for a taste. But the big draw is riding your horse on their beautiful beach. (The horses love to walk in the water, but we had to keep them out the day we rode. . . rough seas.) This was a lot of fun, and the crew are very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this experience.

My wife and I came to St. Lucia for our honeymoon and booked our horseback riding through our hotel. We were brought to Hoofprints and really liked it! Alex was our guide who was funny, helpful and knowledgeable of the area i.e. flora and fauna. We rode through the plantation and then down to the beautiful beach for more riding. Alex stopped along the way to give us fresh local treats like mangoes, coconut/coconut water. It was a hot and beautiful day and overall was one of our favorite things we've done so far.

We booked the ride from the excursion list on the cruise ship. Alex was our guide and was very helpful. Our tour guide, Alex and a couple of other helpers, were so fantastic with helping my friend. She had a problem with her knee and they really had to help her to get off her horse at the beach. They borrowed a lounge chair from a house down the beach and helped her a great deal. I was very impressed! They also walked a young boy and my friend on their horses, back to the stable. I saw an earlier message about being able to canter along the beach. I wish that I had asked. The walk was very slow and I was looking for just a little more action. However, the ride in the water on the horse was great fun. Could have done that for a bit longer.

My wife and I took the 1 hour ride through the plantation and down to the beach. We had a great time with just the two of us and the guide. We went first thing in the morning but it would probably be a little hot later in the day.

We had a very nice ride in a scenic area. The guide was very informative while traveling to the ranch. The tide was up and the waves a little high to enter the water. I'm not a real experienced rider, but have ridden some. I think the horses are used to being able to do what they want.

We read about Hofprint on the web and booked on the telephone. Winston picked up us by the dock in Marigot as we were there with our yacht. Winston was very friendly and nice. We got helmets and Sherman was our guide for the two hour ride. It was really nice ridning though the bananafields and Sherman tolds us about the surroundings. Then we came down to the sea and rode along the beach for a short while before some of us tried ridning on a horseback in the sea: fantastic.
We can really recommend Hoofprint. Both Winston and the guide was nice and friendly. The horses were calm and easy to ride.

Great experience and good service! The waves were too high to swim with the horse, but I got to canter back and forth on the perfect beach which was what I really wanted to do. The beach was much nicer than the other riding treck I did in the Northern part of the island.
Highly recommendable activity! just wear long pants if you want to canter as the stirrup straps were nylon and rather uncomfortable.

We were picked up promptly at our hotel in Marigot Bay by Winston, who drove us the short distance to the ranch. He introduced us to Alex, our guide, who took us on an easy flat trail ride. He chatted with us and pointed out the various plants and trees. The highlight was going into the sea with my horse. We had the whole beach to ourselves and enjoyed the refreshing water. We paired the horseback riding with a kayak trip. The kayak guide was there waiting for us after our swim, got us into our kayaks and we paddled back to Marigot bay. He got us safely back to shore. The water along the way was stunning!! If you do this combo, travel light and use a nylon backpack as they don't have dry bags. We wore our bathing suits under our riding clothes and stuffed clothes and shoes them into our backpacks which worked out just fine. The whole trip took less than 3 hours so we had plenty of time for other activities that afternoon. Highly recommend it!

My family visited the ranch as an excursion from the cruise ship. The host guide (Leah from Cox tours) was very friendly and informative. We had 13 people in our group and upon arriving were fitted with the appropriate gears and horses by Winston Trim. Winston seems to own the ranch and was quite stern and at times rude and sarcastic in showing how to hold the reins and be in control of the horses. There were a lot of first time riders and most of us found him to be intimidating as he seemed to be irritated by the time he had to spend with each of us going through the fitting process - on the other hand the horses were quite calm and seem to be well trained for this ride. We were led to the beach through a banana plantation by Alex and I give him a lot of kudos as he is very experienced and was quite courteous with the horses and riders. At the beach we dismounted our horses and mounted one horse for a swim in the ocean - we were then treated to coconut juice and papayas from one of the guides. On our return to the ranch, we were provided water bottles and guavas from the trees nearby. One of the drivers was so sweet that he climbed up a tree to pick ripened guavas for us. We also tipped everyone on the ranch for the service provided. The most memorable part of the trip was the ride on the horses and the service from Alex and Leah and thank them both from the bottom of our hearts!
