Ok, to update everyone, yes, the main store of Pearl Gems on Front Street closed due to Irma and Covid. While the main sore has moved to Ariba, because of the cruise traffic slowdown, they have continued to maintain their presence with a spot to sell located within the store Fashion Atelier, located at 12-14 Front Street (next to Pandora store) in Phillipsburg. I miss seeing Danny at this location, but It is run by his brother Ashwin and his mother Sudha Harchandrai. It was so nice to see their familiar and friendly faces again! This is a family that you can trust with your pearl purchases. They have always proven to be down to earth and not pushy. We have for many years purchased pearl jewelry from them and know they stand 100% behind their goods . Please visit them and purchase . They are waiting for the tourism to pick up again so that they can relocate to their own store front again. And if you’ve bought from them before, please spread this information on your social media to help them. They are sweet people!

First of all, my heart sunk after reading the st maarten location is closed. I go to St Maarten every year and I always get my pearl from this specific store. Few days before Irma, it was my last day on the island. I went in the store looking for morganite rings, the beautiful lady showed me a morganite and diamond ring and I tried it on and I love this ring, took a picture and left to find my husband who had the credit cards. She offered me the ring for $360. US dollars I was extremely sad when I found him the store was closed. Came home the next morning,4 days before the storm and I never deleted the picture of the ring. My husband showed me the pic early this month and said contact the store and he will get it for me for christmas. That ring is still in my heart and always hope it will be there when we return back to St Maarten.
Pearl Gem will you be coming back to st maarten, please, please, please there are lots of your customers that are very sad. I always look forward to come in and find something in your store. Please come back I am begging for a lot of your customers who usually come on vacation (cruise ship and by air) especially people like us who comes every year to beautiful St Maarten.

Hi! Thank you for continuing to shop with us. We closed our retail location in st maarten after Irma and sent out as many emails as we could informing our loyal customers. We are still on the island and you can contact us via email for any needs. Our store in Aruba is still open to Service our customers. Thanks for your loyalty.

Tried to visit in June of 2018. After many wonderful years doing business with Pearl Gems on St. Maarten, with great sadness I have to report they have closed their St. Maarten location after Irma.
The last time I checked (25/NOV/2018) they are still open in at least Aruba (Pearl Gems store in Oranjestad).
We always enjoyed our time spent in the store and the purchases we made were very satisfying and appraised for more than we paid.
Sorry to see them no longer at Philipsburg, St. Maarten.

We have shopped at Pearl Gems for 16 years. They have a wonderful selection of high end jewelry. They specialize in pearls and diamond jewelry. They do not pressure you into buying like some of the other jewelry shops in Philipsburg. The staff is friendly, knowlegable and very helpful. The jewelry is of the highest quality.

We were so impressed on our last visit to Pearl Gems in Aruba, that we hooked up with another purchase. The quality and uniqueness of their jewelry is "next to none". We have purchased a black and white pearl necklace and now added a beautiful set of matching earrings. Orlando is so personable and charming to work with. We will be doing business again in the future.

Came in as a new customer and left as a forever one! Thanks to Rohit and Ash for helping me find the perfect bracelet for my wife. Great prices and great service. I will be sure to stop in on the next cruise next year. (only 11 months to go!) . Thanks again for all of your help!

We stopped in to purchase the specials we were told about on our Royal Caribbean cruise. We fell in love with this store! We bought all the girls pearl necklace and earring sets and several more sets of pearl earrings in different colors and styles. This is a MUST VISIT on your tour of St. Maarten! They have the best prices on pearls that I have ever seen and I love to find deals!

We were looking for a pearl pendant and Pearl Gems had the largest and best selection by far. They were very helpful and friendly in the store and helped us to make some excellent choices, and we felt the pricing was very fair. When we arrived home, we received a lovely thank you card from them as well. I've spent more at other stores and this was the first time I received a hand written note. I recommend stopping in - they have more than just pearls and offer traditional and more edgy styles.
