Cruise among the Yachts and see secluded beaches. Great adventure if the water is not too rough. Please be careful going past Marina if wind is up.

We rented a small boat for a group of 4 and it was a blast driving the boat around. We stayed in the bay near the airport and drove the boat around . Beautiful St. Maarten scenery, and drove all throughout the bay. We stopped by Marigot to grab something to eat and walk around. Parked the boat right in the Marigot stop and got out and walked around. Also took boat to one port where you could park boat and go into the nice mall and walk across the street to the cliffs and caves right on the beach. The owners of the Boathouse are some of the most friendly people out there and really helped us out on where to take the boat and how to drive it. The boat wasn't the fastest boat out there, but it was so relaxing and was enough space for all 4 of us. Had an awesome time out there!!

My wife and I wanted to go out on the water ourselves and after reading reviews on tripadvisor we decided to try boathouse rentals. Let me start by saying that all the good things people say about Bonnie are all true. The time she took with us giving us suggestions on where to go and how to operate the boat were fantastic. If your looking to go on a little adventure and be on your own this is for you a good way to spend the day

Take a boat to the many adorable towns along the lagoon and avoid the stress of driving! We went to Marigot and Cupecoy bay and had a blast. Bonnie is the best. Wow, talk about great service. She tells you exactly where the good stuff is. We just went where she told us to go and we had a blast in our own little boat! Bonnie really cares about your safety too. Relax! Enjoy the day. You're on a boat!

Bonnie was great. She told us about all the fun stuff we could do and how to navigate there. We went to Marigot and hit some of the pastry shops, then we went to Cupecoy to see the caves. We practically had the whole place to ourselves.
We also saw Sylvester Stallone's and Oprah's mansions.
Renting an 11-foot boat is a great way to see St. Maarten. We went at our own pace without a care in the world.

We were in St. Maarten the end of Feb 2016. We planned to rent a boat from Ray, even sent in a deposit. But due to a mix up we had to cancel. Not only did we get a refund within hours, Ray went on to suggest some other things to do while we were in town. That is customer service!

A fun way to see the lagoon. We went on. Wednesday and zipped over to Marigo to enjoy the fish, spice and straw markets. Raymond the owner was great!

A fabulous, friendly, family run business. Bonnie and Ray run the best little boat hire on the island. This is a must do every time we visit - it's usually our fist port of call. In addition to offering well maintained boats, their knowledge of the island, where to visit and where to get the best deals is always better than the information desk at our hotel. Thanks for always being there for us guys ;-)

Seattle to St. Maarten.... Well worth every dollar!
Ray & Bonnie were awesome people!!!
They had boat ready with ice and some drinks, Bonnie even took me to the store to get more beer and snacks. It's just nice when you go on vacation and meet great business owners. Then you don't mind spending money with them!!
We rented the 16ft. boat for the day, for the two of us and it was perfect!! Ray gave us a map and showed us where to safely go snorkeling and to anchor and swim to what must see beaches. This day was hands down the best day of the trip and the best way to explore this beautiful island. We will be coming back to St. Maarten and for sure will rent a boat again from the Boathouse!! Thanks for the magical memories!

Hi we are in for a day on a cruise and would like to know how and where we can hire a boat also the cost please. Is it close to where ship docks? We are a group of 20 family and friends and my brother is a fishermen here in uk and owns his own boat. Do you need a special license to hire boat?how many can go on each boat please? We cannot accomodate a party of that size. However, there are a number of excursions that can. H2O is Simpson Bay could be a fit, Random Wind and Coconut Reef as well.

Well, you are on an island. We have had people use them,but not with much luck. We go over a map in detail. You will know where you are going and all of the great places to stop. Don't worry...we haven't lost anyone yet. I hope this helps.

Hi Guys We are arriving in a weeks time, and staying for 7 days in the north and then a further 7 days in the south. We are so keen on hiring a small boat for a day to explore the lagoon. I do not have a pilots license but have hired small motor boats in the past. The last being in Bonaire. Am I still able to hire from you, and if so can you give me some price details, and where to find you when we arrive. Many thanks Dougie

Dougie, you do not need a license or (much) experience to rent our boats for a lagoon tour. We provide a map, suggested itinerary, and a full orientation. It is very cool. Please feel free to ask any questions or advice, (we are foodies).

We are located in Simpson Bay, behind Boathouse Restaurant. Half day is $100 plus fuel, full day is $150 plus fuel. Fuel is typically $10 to $20 depending on how much throttle you use.

We are not allowed to id our website. However, we only rent powerboats. Half day is 3 hours, full day is 6 hours. Half day is $100 plus fuel, full day is $150 plus fuel. Fuel is typically $10-$15. Refueling is simple.
