Dear Ginette, Thank you for your feedback, we value all comments whether positive or negative. As for negative reviews, we take these particularly seriously as we rarely receive them. We are sorry you were disappointed in your experience and would have loved the opportunity to speak with you in person had you communicated your dissatisfaction to us at the time of your experience. I have sent you an email with more detail, for the purposes of this response I will summarize as best I can. After your initial request for bottom/reef fishing I had recommended you reserve Marauder, our center console. Your husband Robert communicated that you wanted to book Panoply II, our 50' Viking Sportfisherman, due to its size and I advised again that the priority on this boat is deep sea fishing and options for bottom/reef fishing and snorkelling are very weather dependent. Following our correspondence Robert confirmed you wanted to reserve the deep sea fishing on Panoply II. Seasickness is not at all unusual on deep sea charters and we are clear that normal conditions offshore are 3-5ft. Many days are better, some are choppy. Our crew are happy to cut a trip short or switch gears if this is communicated to us - often times groups want to keep fishing, other times they ask to head inside for calmer waters and we are happy to oblige. I'll also note that our rates are in USD and at the time of this booking the full day deep sea fishing was $3,850 plus 12% govt tax. These fees are published on our website at the time of booking, sent to you in your confirmation email and again in your reminder email 72 hours prior to departure. We absolutely agree that guests should do their research before reserving a charter with any guide/operator. I am here to answer questions and make sure we get you on the right boat for the right activities and our website has loads of information. I highly recommend following the the advice of your guide when directed to the best boat/itinerary for the desired activities. If our capabilities are outside the scope of your expectations, we will always happily recommend another guide better suited to you and your needs. Our main goal is always to exceed expectations and bring happy guests back to the dock. Given deep sea fishing was not your priority, our initial and repeated recommendation for bottom/reef fishing or our fish, snorkel and island hopping cruise on Marauder would have been the best fit for your group.
