This beach was not crowded which made it great. You can rent beach chairs but there is no one pushing you or trying to sell you anything. It's just a lovely, private beach with some trees to provide needed shade when you want. The water is beautifully clean and clear and warm. Wish I were there now!

Be cautious staying here. We visited in July 2023 and the TV was broken for 5 days. Also & worse, we had no hot water at all..

Condo in Bldg B - 2nd floor had a beautiful view. Loved being close to the Breakfast Buzz, Beach Bar and Sea Salt. Taxi stand was close by which was nice. We highly recommend!

We stayed at the Margaritaville resort you could not swim did seaweed, and the fact that they had dug the beach up it smelled like a sewer. The people were very friendly. The food was overpriced. The beer was ever priced. The drinks at the pool were very reasonably priced.

We had parasailed so stayed at the beach for a few hours. We camped out at the far end away from the bar area. Found a shady tree which was home to a few large iguanas. Non threatening and the children loved it. Entering the ocean is over rocks and coral so care is needed but snorkeling is fun and the reefs are easy to reach even for our 5 and 7 year old grandsons. I gave it an average because of the difficulty in entering the water and we had already visited Magens Bay beach which is phenomenal and Secret Harbor beach which is just perfect if you have little ones.

This beach is beautiful and free with free parking. It's got a lot of seaweed but people were still snorkeling and swimming on the day we went. It also has a lot of trees to provide natural shade, so there is no need to rent an umbrella -- just chairs. That is $20 saved! If you stay at the resort, it is free to use the chairs and the chairs were very comfortable.
This beach was very peaceful with the sounds of the waves making it very relaxing.
There were many iguanas running around and a lot of people wind surfing when we visited. There is a restaurant and a bar on site and also some shops. The drinks were pretty good. We brought our own food.

Great place. We were able to rent chairs and snorkel gear. Family friend. Visit the bar for great food and drinks. Had a really cute boutique with clothes and survivors.

Beach was nice, rough water but great color. If you like the tiki bar party beach atmosphere you’ll enjoy this. I wouldn’t go back. Local Ex-Pats running the bars are rude and condescending.

If you’re hesitant about visiting sapphire beach, let this be a sign to just do it! This was the BEST beach we visited our entire trip to St. Thomas. The water is so clear and beautiful and will cool you down well in the high heat. Beach is not too crowded and there are some shaded areas to set your towels. Sand is so clear and felt completely comfortable going a little farther out. Definitely recommend, and a must visit.

Is it easy to get a cab to Sapphire Beach from the cruise port and easy to find one when you want to return to the ship? What food and drinks are available on the beach?

I can’t answer the question about the cab, but we were there in December and they had chicken fingers, pizzas, salads...the usual snack bar type fare.

the beach chairs are free and first come first served. not a big problem unless you are there at the highest of peak season. I did see people snorkeling so i assume they rented the equipment. Coki beach DOES have snorkel gear for rent.
HOWEVER! you may find the snorkeling disappointing on St Thomas and St Johns and Cuelebra as the hurricane in 2017 wiped out most of the coral. Its kind of a barren moonscape. If you ar looking for any descent snorkeling on the US side of the Virgin Islands. You will have to go to Buck Island St. Croix

Honestly I couldn’t tell you if there was WiFi. In a place that beautiful I couldn’t care less about the internet so I wasn’t even looking. Just picked up my phone long enough to snap a few pics. This is beach specific. Back in the condo we had great WiFi.

the only way i know to get around st. thomas
is by taxi. it's only $11 each for each way. we
didn't see many public buses- especially to
the beach.

You can snorkel right off the beach, we brought our own equipment. There is a guy that rents beach chairs, floaties, kayaks, but I can't remember if he had snorkel gear..
