Greetings! Yes, your family would enjoy this fun and easy tour. You have three excellent options: First, you could purchase this tour on board your ship and the ship would transport you to St John via a scenic ferry ride, and the remainder of the tour is guided. Second, you could independently hire a taxi to travel 25 minutes to the east end of St Thomas to the village of Red Hook and take a 15 minute ferry to St John which leaves every hour on the hour in both directions. Once in the village of Cruz Bay on St John, you would meet your guide at The National Park Visitor Center and begin your tour. After the tour, you would return to St Thomas by the same ferry and taxi to the ship. Third choice is to hire a 15 min taxi from the ship to St Thomas Mangrove Lagoon and book with Virgin Islands Ecotours the 3 or 5 hour with lunch Kayak, Hike & Snorkel Adventure to Cas Cay. This is an awesome tour for children! The walking distance is easy and along the way you enjoy a hermit crab race, scenic views and then reach an area of rocky, volcanic cliffs with tidal pools and a blow hole. Everyone loves this tour, especially families with young children. The snorkeling is fascinating and you will see a large variety of fish. If you choose to arrive independently, then after our tour, you will pass Bolongo Bay Beach on your way to the ship. Many of our guests choose to stop by there for a fun lunch in the beach at Iggies and an enjoyable hour or two on a tropical CarIbbean Beach.
