I am pleased to have the opportunity to respond to the charter guest’s comments on his charter of the yacht Sundancer on 9/3/16, below: "Boat is average at best.....a little old and tired but at least clean and well kept. Crew was fine but almost immediately attitude started with our two year old. "Dont do this" "Dont do that" Dont touch this"......ummmmm...news flash...HES A 2 YEAR OLD.....THATS WHAT THEY DO. If you dont want kids on your boat then no problem......dont take them. Crying and moaning about everything a 2 year old does is pointless.....again....they are 2." The crew is committed to the safety of all guests especially the little ones. Yes, the crew did need to ensure the safety of a two-year old while on a boat at sea, including warning that a hot barbecue was within reach, that the deck was slippery when wet, ( and the crew put down a carpet runner because of this) the crew also accommodated the need for the little guy’s nap in the owners air conditioned stateroom. "I only wish this was the end of the story. Next the "waverunners" show up.....not owned or operated by YIP but instead some 3rd party vendor who was hanging out near where we anchored and just came by" Actually, no. All of the information you were provided with from the start states that waverunners are provided by an outside vendor. They are also licensed and regulated by the Port Dept in Nassau, and carry insurance as required by local law. You were abundantly aware that the yacht you were aboard did not own the waverunners, from the time you signed the charter agreement , on Aug 2, 2016. We have used this local vendor many times and not only are they courteous, timely, safety oriented and professional, not to mention licensed , and we have never had a problem with them. Also at no time were the waverunner operators permitted access to ANY part of the yacht except the swim platform, and both waverunners were used extensively by the guests. "at the conclusion of the trip my wallet, cash, credit cars and all valuables were "missing". Captain Carla tried to tell me I must have taken all those things to the bar and somehow "left" them.....ya right. I got robbed and some shady waverunner riding Bahamian dude that SHE allowed access to the boat did it" These are the FACTS of this incident: At about 4 PM the charterer dismissed the waverunners for the day and they left the boat. Almost immediately the charter guest proclaims, “I left my wallet on the waverunner!!” the crew immediately responded by calling the owner of the waverunner company to get in touch with the operators. The crew then scanned the area with binoculars and saw them nearby and chased them down with the tender. They had them immediately return to the boat, but the wallet was not aboard. By the charterer’s own admission, he stated he did leave his wallet in the compartment of the waveunner, which he left unattended on the beach, when he went to a bar on Rose Island. It is possible that the wallet went missing at that time. However, the crew were very concerned and not only went back to the bar, but also called for the police to meet the waverunners and the yacht with the guests when the yacht arrived back in port. As soon as the yacht arrived back in port, the guests hastily disembarked, before the authorities arrived, despite the fact that they had said they wanted a “police search of the vessel” During the return trip to port, the charter guest repeatedly threatened he would “shut down your business via social media” stating also that he was “very good at that” and also that he would make sure he did not have to pay for his charter via a chargeback through his credit card company. We personally did file a report with the Royal Bahamian Police Dept, Paradise Island Division, on the entire incident (Officer Ferguson) and were hopeful that our actions on the guests’ behalf would also help in the recovery the wallet. We feel that this unfortunate incident of a guest losing their wallet while riding a waverunner, during a charter is indeed distressing, and took every action possible to assist in the recovery of the wallet. "Period end of story. Plenty of really GREAT companies in the Bahamas that wont steal your stuff.....call them instead and NOT YIP" As is evident from our other reviews the yacht Sundancer most guests are very pleased with the service the yacht and the crew provide. We value our guest comments and look for ways to improve. However, we also take seriously unfounded allegations of committing or being complicit in committing a crime, particularly when the party making the allegation did not wait for the local authorities, whom the crew called in, to show up so that they could state their allegations, but instead resort to doing so on Social Media.

Ms Diaz Firstly, Lets get all the facts correct. We completely expected this review just after we wired your money back to you yesterday which the yacht was not obligated to do. You were in default of the contract as you did not pay the final installment. This was witnessed and confirmed by a member of the Royal Bahamas Police Force whom you summoned to the yacht. You found a cheaper boat at a cheaper price and wanted a refund. a 100% refund. ( I believe another issue is you wanted the yacht to take 100 people which we told you the yacht Atlantis II could not, it was not licensed for that many. You had asked me to find an additional yacht back in July for you and I offered ones that would be able to take 100 as your guest list had grown. These are the party boats- and the ONLY boats in Nassau that can take 100 people. They are not a yacht. You did not want any of those. ) You did not show to any of the three meetings you scheduled with the owner, leaving him waiting. When you finally did speak with the owner, it was using the captain's phone on the yacht, to tell him you were looking to cancel as you found a cheaper boat. All and every attempt to contact you the day prior to the charter date was made, to confirm that you wanted to cancel, from 8 AM, to which there was no response. The owner graciously gave you an 80% refund on the charter when the yacht was fully ready and crewed, however, you wanted the departure time to be an hour earlier and found this 'unsatisfactory'. After which you summoned the police to the yacht. I believe all along you wanted a full refund and were prepared to take any measures to get out of your contractual obligation. According to the Yacht Charter Agreement that you signed, your default of the final payment should have resulted in your forfeiture of ALL deposits. However, you were given an 80% refund on the deposits you made. The fact that you did summon the police means that this all on record with the Royal Bahamas Police Department, as are the documents you signed. The reason that we fully expected this review is simple. Members of your party, while shouting at the owner, kept threatening "Social media! Social media!!" when insisting on a full refund. I am pretty sure that we can also read negative reviews of the hotel you stayed at as you said several times your were having 'problems' and 'difficulties' with them. I think its just sad when people threaten to use social media as a means to get their money back.

We appreciate your feedback on the overall condition of the yacht you chartered as it is important to us. I assure you we will bring forward your concerns with the owner of the yacht as we strive to ensure that our guests are made to feel welcome and comfortable and not like they are invading a private space. I do understand that the crew does deliberately cover the cockpit cushions in the summer months as the leather can be quite sticky and uncomfortable to sit on when it is very hot. I will address your concerns with both the yacht Manzy and the jet-ski operators to ensure that we can improve on this in the future.
