We saw a ray even though we weren’t snorkeling the reef due to choppy conditions. If iguanas are high on your list just let the captain know and he’ll do his best to find them for you! Local and very knowledgeable!

He will take you to places that you can actually stand up in if you want. He took us to about 5 different places: ranging from shallow to deep. He throws out a line from his boat with life preservers attached to it when we were in deeper water to hang out on.

You can book on their website baywestadventures with a deposit and pay the rest when you are done. You can sign up with 3 people but you will be on the boat with other people unless you pay for the whole boat privately.

I didn’t snorkel I just went on this with a friend but the tour was led by local guy (or his partner runs other tour) but he took us to several beaches we could eith just hang out on or swim. It was a very fun and laid back tour where we could do or not do what we wanted...obviously anything to do with safety was strict but other than that you could do tour own thing. And I did not get sick...if you get sick on regular boats on a lake then you may get sick but it wasn’t too bumpy or fast when we went!

When I was there a few weeks ago, the waters were calm that day and Captain Sam took the boat at a leisurely pace so there wasn't a lot of rocking motion.
