I do not recommend!
To be honest, the Bahamian islands are our favorite place on earth, the God created beautiful blue waters are breathtaking. We have taken several private tours over the past decade that have been amazing, however this one was seriously lacking.
We emailed back and forth for a few months of things to see on the tour, but the day of the trip did not go as we had planned at all. We drove to sugars office then to follow him to the beach, at this point 1 hour of our $4000 day was over. We then did get ride in the boat in the beautiful waters of Exuma. Sugar took us to a lunch spot that was yummy, but Sugar’s food took an extra hour, yes we stayed at the lunch spot for almost 3 hours. At some point we had to pull up and let Sugar out so he could go into town/grocery store…not sure, he finally came back with a bag of something.
Sugar didn’t interact with us or our kids, truthfully he acted like he didn’t want to be on the tour at all. We looked forward to fresh conch salad (that was advertised as part of our day) however he never made us any. We arrived back at the beach at 4:30 to complete our day(the plan was 6:00). It felt as though Sugar couldn’t get rid of us fast enough.
On a good note…the only positive part of this day tour, was his helper, Ray, she was kind, played music and did actually have conversation with us.
Private tours are our “thing” and Exuma is our “place”, but don’t waste your day or money on this trip. I don’t normally write reviews, but I wish I would have chosen a different tour after our terrible experience.

This was the best boating experience I’ve had in Exuma by far. From the time we arrived to the moment we disembarked the Sugar Adventure 2 vessel, Sugar and Dera ensured we had a five-star memorable experience. His knowledge of the sea allowed us to view breathtaking cays that encompassed wildlife that is not only endangered but iconic to the Exuma cays. The food was caught fresh out of the ocean during our voyage and prepared on a private island for our enjoyment. Fresh conch salad, lobster and snapper were on the menu. #Heaven. I can’t stress enough the attention to detail displayed during this trip and how the customer service was beyond expectations. My family and I will be returning to complete this #MustExperience again.

The tour with Sugar was phenomenal. We did the full island tour and it was incredible. Lots of interesting sites to see and it was a blast!! Views were breathtaking. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting the island!!

Sugar and crew are the best. They cater to your every need and want. Bring nothing just sit back and enjoy! Old school hospitality at its finest. Great beer but the “Sugar Smash Was the best. Goodness in a cup. Very experienced and professional. Fresh conch salad made right on the boat. We have a big family with lots of teenagers not a problem for sugar & crew. Newer fast very clean and spacious boat and will definitely get you where you need to go. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a real Exuma tour. We will definitely be booking sugar adventures every time we come.

Great half day reef fishing trip for the family. The whole family had a blast especially my 9 year old who was having his first fishing experience. Captain Sugar and his crew were awesome. Lots of fun and lots of fish!

This was our second time using Sugar for a full day tour. This time, we did a private tour with our friends and all of our kids (8 of them). Nearly all the kids said the boating excursion was the highlight of their trip. The Grotto and Compass Cay are must-do. Sugar is a very knowledgeable and capable tour guide. He was flexible and let us alter our lunch plans during our excursion which turned out to be a nice addition to the day trip.

Don't do the full day! Water was likely too choppy, but Captson didn't cancel. We rode white knuckles and were absolutely beaten to death and lifted off our seats multiple times. I signaled him to slow down abd he did for a minute and went back to the same behavior for the full day. I told him it was hurting our backs and necks.....didn't phase him. Ypu couldn't have had a drink or a snack if you wanted. There were 9 of us and I asked for the shade canopy and he said he couldn't run with it. I suppose not at 65 mph. Oh and we chose to have lunch.....it wasn't til 3 p
.m. and we were starved. So it ruined our pre arranged chef prepared dinner later that night because we weren't hungry. If it hadn't been fir his assistant who was helpful and the rushed stops we would not have made it. I bought their lunch at $33 each and neither bothered to give thanks. Sadder, we had booked fishing with him for the next day and had no choice. We spent over $5,000 IN CASH for someone who completely disrespected us. He had to be called out on the fishing trip for literally trying to out fish the young boys and for choosing the largest bait for himself. Don't put your children through this!

5/5... went out with sugar twice. one was the adventure tour with the pigs, iguanas, nurse sharks, and cave. sugar told us information about every single island we passed and we got time at every island we stopped at and got time to enjoy all of the places we stopped at. there were drinks and snacks stocked up on the boat for us. we also stopped at an island restaurant for food. was super bussin. a few days later we went fishing with sugar adventures. He got bait and rods and everything. Sugar caught us like 12 lobsters for dinner and we got to fish for some dinner fish. one of us caught a shark on accident. was awesome. anywho... 1000/10 sugar is an awesome dude and I def recommend using sugar adventures for your exuma tour

We had an amazing time with Sugar this week. We had a group of 8, and booked a private tour. We visited several popular spots, and had so much fun. Sugar made a conch salad that was excellent (the best we had on the island in our opinion). Sugar and De-ra were so nice and knew a ton about the area. We had such a a great time the first day that we went back out with them a couple of days later and visited some other spots that we were interested in visiting. Some of our favorites spots were Compass Cay to hold and swim with the nurse sharks, the sand bar at Pipes Cay, the starfish, and swimming with the pigs. Sugar and De-ra went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of and had a good time!

Our group lucked out to find the best tour and captain on Exuma! We were a group of 14 and booked the private charter. Sugar and Deara were spectacular! They were flexible, informative, laid back, not intrusive but definitely in on the fun. Several of us will occasionally get sea-sick and took Dramamine just in case but the boat ride was so smooth and enjoyable! I felt so safe with Sugar on the boat and Deara when we got into the water. The conch salad was ridiculously delicious, lunch was buffet style and tasted like home-cooking. Would recommend to couples and families with kids alike! Thank you Sugar for the excursion of a lifetime!

Hi, I have inquired about booking a tour for a date in June 2020. It is not a private tour, so they have put us on the list and advised they will only run the tour if there is a minimum of 8 people. They can not confirm the tour will run until 2 weeks prior to the date. We do not want to missing out on seeing the pigs, so waiting until the last minute to confirm our booking makes me nervous, has anyone else been told the same thing? If so, what did you do

Does this tour stop at Thunderball Grotto for snorkeling? About how many people are on the tour (read up to 16 but wondering if they're all that full) Was there plenty of beer and punch? (read a review that they ran out in 2 hours) Thanks

Yes we did go to the grotto, and about 16 is correct but we had enough room to be comfortable, and for us there was still rum and beer left on the trip! I had an amazing time!

The full day tour includes:
Feed the iguanas
Feed and play with swimming pigs
Swim inside the Thunder ball Grotto
Stop at the long sandbar
Swim with sharks ($10.00 landing fee at Compass cay dock)
Lunch is not included, we will make stop at the local restaurant on Little Farmers Cay.

Email Sugar Adventure directly-they will book you in and you only pay them the day of the trip. It costs about US$250pp for the full day.

US$200 per person. This includes lots of drinks and snacks in board but not lunch. It is a full 8 hour tour.
