It’s £3.00 for3hours in the car park. there’s a tearoom there also. there are some steps to climb but not too steep. you are suddenly on the cliff walk with stunning scenery.to get down to the beach there are more steps buts it’s worth it .the coastal walk goes on the other side.

Absolutely breathtaking place!
When we arrived it was a full car park, but you wouldn’t think that, as it wasn’t overcrowded at all.
The steps to the beach are no joke! But it’s doable if you take your time. And there’s no rush. There’s plenty of places for ppl to pass you, and everyone is friendly and chilled.
It’s like being abroad- Clear water, white sand! There’s lots of walks to go on.
And the best part- dogs are allowed during the summer months!!
The views are gorgeous!
The cafe also do lush sandwiches!!

Lovely bay, with stunning views. If you walk further away from the Stackpole Quay car park, beyond Barafundle Bay there are lots of dramatic cliffs that are teeming with birds at this time of year. Quite magical experience. The bay has no facilities, but we purchased lovely sandwiches and pasties from the National Trust cafe at Stackpole Quay to eat on the beach. Perfect day.

Beautiful beach with dunes behind. A bit of a steep walk from parking, but worth the effort. Great place for children. The nearby lily ponds are also worth seeing. No toilets that I could see, but there are some at the car park.

One of the best beaches in the country, only accessible from a long walk from the carpark or another beach, very difficult for the less mobile. The walk is rewarding with the view from the top of the path, very steep down steps to beautiful sands and is dog friendly. Brilliant

Lovely beach, quite a walk from car park but worth it!
We visited in winter so had to leave before dark.
We will go back to visit in summer to get the full experience.

Wholly agree with others, this is a lovely spot. When the tide is out you can climb (carefully) on the rocks. You can paddle or swim in the sea. You can just take in the views. Your dog can chase about on the large beach. Bliss. Take a picnic / drink / snacks is a tip and also I didn't have enough change for the carpark payment machine and while it offers payment by phone I got no mobile phone signal here so that can be a bit of a worry!

This walk keeps on giving and giving. On our way along the Pembroke coastal walk, we came upon this fantastic beach. Our dog Phoebe could not wait to run in and have a swim.

Such a beautiful place and well worth the walk to get there, once there it’s like your in the med just amazing the beach is clean and never seems to get busy, parking at busy times of the year can be busy but it’s well worth going just go early

Would a motor home be able to get to and park in the car park? I understand from research the road can be narrow in places but is it possible to get to it if we made an early start when it’s quiet?

There should not be a problem.....the road is a little narrow but I'm sure you maybe use to those kind of roads!
Can you park a VW camper van in the Stackpole Quey car park overnight ?

Can’t see why not. Carpark near Barafundle beach charges £5 day or its free if your National Trust member. Give it a try....

Hi I'm looking to visit this beach next week , can you tell me how easy it is to find from the Stackpole car park please? I'm assuming this is the Quay car park? Any help would be great . Many thanks Wendy

Quiet straight forward but if your not sure just ask everyone is very helpful and yes it is stackpole quay hope you enjoy 👍👍

As long as it is one of the smaller motor homes. The roads do get very narrow in places.

Well in all honesty you have to go up some steep stairs, through some fields and down sone steep steps to the beach itself. Its wether you have a few strong people to help you.

Hi Christian - sorry for really long delay! Yes, dog-friendly all year round. You can walk from Stackpole, across Barafundle, and right along the stunning coast to Bosherston if you've got the time and energy!
