This remembrance column unlike a lot of others is well maintained and only a few yards from the market place and town square
There are hundreds of local names
Enscibed on the on this obelisk
No only remembers the two great wars but all the small wars we under took in the name of freedom
Korea Iraq Afghanistan and others
The column is set in lovely church grounds well with a visit for contemplation

This War Memorial is located in the gardens at the front of the Parish Church just a short walk from the Market Place. It has a step around the bottom and names of those that lost their lives during the wars are listed from the local area.

Visited Ripley and saw this War Memorial in the grounds of All Saints Church. It is worth a visit and there is so much history on these memorials that it is worth taking time to visit if you are in the area.
