改修工事により色が赤茶から白になったので、あまり歴史を感じるような雰囲気は無いが、青空に映える建物になった。マニラにある聖堂などど一緒に世界遺産になっているが、教会の天井は鉄骨でなぜ世界遺産なのか不明であったが、台風、地震に耐えれる低い天井の構造であることが分かり勉強になった

After visiting Paoay, I realized that this is going to be one of my favorite towns. The place has its old rustic charm. Situated at the center of it is the St. Augustine "Paoay" Church. The church is old and a sight to behold with its buttresses and facade, it speaks of its history. A Unesco World Heritage Site. In front of it is the signage PAOAY and the houses around it adds charm to the place. The church is near to Paoay Sand dunes and Malacanang of the North, just 15-20 mins ride. Truly a must see.

Our first visit was in Baccara, Ilocos Norte
where one of the old churches located. One of the enduring
landmarks of the Augustinian friars is the Church of St. Andrew the Apostle in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte.
Together with the bell tower and the convent, the church
was built in 1593 and inaugurated in 1782.
Along with the church, the beautiful belfry was destroyed
by the intensity 7.8 earthquake on August 17, 1983.
It caused the dome to fall down thus gaining the
romanticized title “Dignified Domeless Belltower in Asia.”

It was historical and amazing place. We ate bagnet (deep-fry pork lechon) with a bagoong (salted fish sauce). Bagnet was one of their food specialty.

马尼拉奥斯丁教堂 这个教堂在马尼拉古城里，有四百多年的历史，是一个古教堂，平时就有很多当地学校带着学生到这作为教育基地参观，教堂很大，有两大层，地下展示了很多关于天主教的一些人像，简述了教派的发展史，第二层就是展示了近代的历史，有航海，服装，器皿等发展史
