The crew and boat were great, and this was an amazing experience well worth the money and the time. We were given the option of going for big fish out deep, or staying closer to shore for more action. We took the latter, and we’re not disappointed with the catch-up over 70 great game, fish, including mahi-mahi, and mackerel. And amazing day and experience we will not soon forget.

We had a wonderful time on this charter. The captain and the first mate were both incredibly helpful and made the experience. We didn’t catch anything too large, but we caught at least 12 small fish which was exciting and enjoyable.

Great time ! Caught 3 mahi.Captain scooby is a great captain. Seen dolphins and sea turtles on our trip.

My first Blue Marlin
We went out on a full 12 hour charter as recommended by the captain for our best shot at Blue Marlin. It was a long 2 hour ride out but only after 5 minutes of having the lines in the water We had our first bite of the day. Unfortunately the excitement did not last the Marlin spit the bait and got away. So the crew put the lines back out in the water and we were back on the hunt trolling. About 30 minutes later we had a another bite and this time the Marlin was hooked good and I reeled it in about 1 hr wow what a fight I did not know how strong these fish were. The crew released the Marlin and the captain informed us it looked like it was around 400 lbs! I cannot say enough about everyone at PV Charters I told them my next dream fish was to catch a big Blue Marlin and they made it happen.

I wanted to let you know that all 8 of us had a great time fishing on the Cindy. The crew was very friendly and hard working. We caught 22 fish. Everyone caught 3 or 4 each. The boat was spacious and clean and there was plenty of room to sit in the sun or go in for shade. I also want to comment that the fishing equipment was in tip top shape. I would happily recommend that anyone fish on this boat and if I come back this is the only boat I would fish on. For those who don't speak Spanish, the entire crew speaks English. Thanks Luis!

Hooked up with PV Charters before we left for our trip to Puerto Vallarta. Told Steve we wanted to target tuna and not concentrate on sailfish, not knowing that most all of the fish can be in the same general area. Was a tough day fishing...lots of trolling around without much catching, but that is why it is called fishing and not catching. 3:30 pm we started to head towards PV again. WHAM!!! 350 pound Black Marlin!!! Took over an hour to get it into the boat. Made our entire trip! Would fish with them again. !st class operation. Extremely clean boats, great gear, no knot tying in any of the reels. Even without catching the fish we had already decided to fish with them again next year

Two of us went out on the My Marlin charter boat, Steve encouraged to book an 8 hour trip for the type of fish we wanted to target (Mahi-Yellow Tail-Yellow Fin) We arrived at the dock promptly at 6:30 A.M and the boat slipped in to pick us up right on time. We stopped and picked up ice and live bait. We trolled Rapala's and lures for about 2 and one half hours with no bite. The Captain Felipe kept trying different locations and baits. I finally hit a Jack Crevale about 15 lbs the fish was a strong fighter, the crew man promptly filleted the fish and made fresh ceviche which was off the chart good. We then fished bait balls with live bait we boated 15 or more large Jacks ranging from 12 to 20 lbs. We were really happy about the catch and action, we have caught many sail, Mahi, and others so this was different for us. The fish is so so for eating I recommend beer batter and frying. Make sure you check the season before booking, many fish are just not around when you want them to be. Dont hesitate with this company all is well.

We originally wanted to do a 6 hour charter but also wanted to catch some large fish, such as sail fish. Steve informed us that we would have a better chance of catching some big fish if we did the 8 or 12 hour charter. We decided to pay the $800 for an 8 hour charter. My girlfriend and I caught 3 fish each; the largest being a Jack Crevelle about a foot long. I understand that you can't make the fish bite but after hearing that people went out that same day for 2 hours and caught large sail fish and mahi mahi, it makes me regret spending the $800 with these guys. You might want to look at other options.

El salir de pesca con Pv Charters es excelente, sus yates de pesca estan muy bien equipados, la tripulación es experta, el servicio que brindan es excelente, algo que me sorprendió bastante es el conocimeinto en general de la tripulación tanto para navegar, pescar, en servicio al cliente, el uso de su equipo y sobretodo en cocina rapida de peces, increible como filetean un pez en pocos segundos y mas increible aun es el sabroso ceviche que preparan en un santiamen.

PV Charters gave us a great day of fishing. You can find them at http://www.fishingpuertovallarta.net. We went on the 8 hour trip and had an excellent captain and first mate on the 38 ft Macarela. They worked hard to help us find and catch some great fish (Sail Fish, Mahi Mahi and Skip Jack). If you want to catch bigger fish it's recommended to get the 8 hour trip so that you can leave the Bandaras Bay area and get out into the ocean.
