The gazebo was given by the French and the plaza is small but pretty - the music is for a couple of hours only so get there by 5.15 pm. There was also a Prado Museum exhibition of paintings going on at the same time.

Visité esta plaza el domingo 6 de febrero en la noche. Tuve la oportunidad de apreciar un concierto en el quiosco de la plaza. Creo que es un lugar de visita obligada en Guadalajara.

Caminar por el centro de una ciudad siempre te da una idea de que es y que fue la misma. De la categoria de la tradicion y de las creencias de la misma. Este es un sitio de esparcimiento, de transito si tu quieres, un lugar para pasar a otro o simplemente para dar una leve caminata al aire libre.
A pesar de lo que yo creí se encuentra bien mantenida, con seguridad durante horas de dia y tarde y con la higiene que no espere encontrar en un sitio tan concurrido.
Pasear, tomar un cafe o refresco y tomar fotos no tienen pierde son una experiencia agradable.
Pero tengo quejas en la ciudad, una vez que cae el sol, no creo que sea la mejor idea mantenerte en este sitio y menos si tienes apariencia o condicion de turista.
No se siente muy seguro la verdad.

A true "agora", where both locals and tourists gather, whether it's gazing at the old architectural treasures of Guadalajara's historic center, or just people watching. There are entertainers, and food vendors around, lots of restaurants, and only a few benches to rest for free (there should be more).

es el punto medular para observar los edificios tradicionales de guadalajara, el quiosco es una obra de arte y si tienes tiempo, date el gusto de darle de comer a las palomas que se cuentan por cientos, lo que hace que tengas una estancia magica.

I'm in Guadalajara right now for my second visit in 2 years. As always, the plaza is lovely to relax and take some nice photos. However, the place and everywhere nearby is packed with families as it seems that the schools have broken up for half term.
