The best tour and tour guide. Herman, was very experienced, well English spoken guide. He took the time to explain the history of Guadalajara while on the drive. He took us to the best Mexican Restaurant. We had the best time.

Disappointing

Very disappointed.
We booked a private tour for eight people and were to be picked up at our hotel at 9am as per instructions in our confirmation email from Luis. However the guide and van did not arrive until 10am; we were left waiting for an hour. The guide had no explanation or apology and it was a very poor start to the day.
Hernan, our guide was knowledgable and pleasant, but due to our late start we could not spend as much time in Tequila as we would have hoped. There was also no water provided on the van.
Since then, I have had no reply to my emails, indeed not any apology or explanation from Luis for the poor service.

Relaxed Tequila distilliery and town tour with a knowledgable guide.

Ramon was a very relaxed and knowlegable guide and provided some tour options given the small group size. The first distillery felt more authentic, less tourist orientated but both were good. Tequila town centre is pretty and worth visiting.

Tequila tasting tour

This was a fantastic trip. Marco was a great tour guide and was very knowledgeable about the town of Tequila, including places to eat and which tequilas were worth purchasing at different places. I recommend this tour!

Enhanced our visit to Mexico

A great experience. The town of Tequila is charming and the Jose Cuervo tequila factory is equally so in its grounds and public areas. The tour of the factory was led by a very knowledgeable guide and we learned a lot about the process from the field to the bottle. And, of course, there was time for tasting - and there is a particular way to do that - all explained by the factory guide. Also learned that, just like champagne cannot be called champagne if it does not come from that region of France, tequila cannot be labeled tequila unless it is from this area.
There was adequate time to tour the central area of Tequila, have a nice lunch, and explore a bit. Well worth the trip.

Great outdoor experience while close to the city of Guadalajara

Great experience. This site is well worth the drive. Museum has artifacts and educational material well displayed and there is a short movie available in English or Spanish. My guide was amazing, very knowledgeable and patient with questions. A bit of a hike up to site, take water and breaks as needed. Amazing views of surrounding area from site. Well cared for grounds with few people there on a Wednesday. I understand it gets crowded on the weekends. Great option for some outdoor activity and learning more about ancient indigenous peoples of the area.

Interesting basic over view of tequila

We enjoyed the tours and photo opportunity the bus ride was not great the vehicle was not very comfortable. Some folks were a little loud in the way back but they did enjoy themselves.

My favorite part of the trip was the knowledge I gained behind the work and process of making Tequila. Ramon and the staff were very nice and knowledgeable. I highly recommend booking a tour through GDL tours.
