Pequeno museu que no entanto possui o mural de Diego Rivera chamado : Um tarde de domingo na Alameda central, onde estão varios personagens da historia mexicana, incluindo o autor, Frida Kahlo e a personagem da caveira Catrina. Um painel indica cada personagem, apesar de alguns não terem sido ainda identificados

Salimos a las 10:00am del hotel, tomamos un uber al Museo Mural Diego Ribera, pasando por algunas de las avenidas principales de la ciudad para dejarse admirar, llegamos a las 10:25am, cada entrada del museo fue de 45 pesos, Andy no pago porque llevaba credencial de estudiante y 5 pesos para poder tomar fotografías.
El Museo abre sus puertas el día 19 de febrero de 1988, abre sus puertas al público en general como recinto que da resguardo y difusión a la obra mural “Sueño de una tarde dominical en la alameda Central, realizada por Diego Ribera en 1947, el fresco de Ribera con 15.67 metros de largo y que tienes que venir a visitar.
Encontramos también al bajar unas escaleras que dan a los servicios sanitarios una fotografía a blanco y negro de gran tamaño en la cual se encuentra con Frida Kahlo.
Encontramos información de la arquitectura de José Benlliure, del cual las propuestas fueron para el acondicionamiento, remodelación, restauración, adaptación y obras de nueva planta tras la demolición de distintas edificaciones que no tenían oportunidad de salvamento tras las múltiples afectaciones por los sismos de 1985, Hizo proyectos para oficinas de la cámara nacional de comercio 1988.

The murals of Diego Rivera are iconic. They reflect his political views of the history of oppression of the Mexicans as well as reflect daily life.
We had our own personal tour guide but the museum was small enough that visitors can look up the history and description on the famous mural "Dream on a Sunday afternoon on the Alameda" and understand all the characters Rivera was depicting in this colorful provocative mural.

The other reviews here are nonsense and people who don't seem to understand. The main object is the Diego Mural that survived the 1985 earthquake in a nearby hotel. It was moved here for everyone to enjoy. Most days its 40 pesos, about $2.20 USD to get to see one of the worlds best muralist Diego Rivera and a mural that survived an earthquake. 2 bucks! It absolutely is worth it. We went late in the day to beat the crowds and we had the place to ourselves. They will ask you to check large bags like knapsacks, so keep that in mind.

Although there are two floors and various exhibits, there really is only one thing to see, and that’s a Diego Rivera mural that was rescued from a hotel that had collapsed during the 1985 earthquake (it had been moved there from an earlier building). The mural shows the entire history of Mexico from conquest through independence, with every historical figure represented. If you have a tour guide, this museum could easily take an hour; otherwise you can see it more quickly.

I really enjoyed seeing this mural and reading the history behind it. It is a quick stop but worth doing and you can walk across the park to the Palacio de Bellas Artes afterward.

Il museo custodisce un'unico, colossale murales di Rivera, che rappresenta la storia conflittuale, sofferta, ma colorata del Messico. È possibile esplorare i dettagli da vicino. Inoltre il museo propone anche riproduzioni di altri murales di altri artisti minori spiegando l'evoluzione dell'arte messicana a partire dalle rappresentazioni cristiane, violente e drammatiche, del martirio dei santi. L'ingresso costa poco poco, purtroppo non accettavano la carta quindi bisogna avere con se i pesos.

Showcasing a large but only 1 mural by Diego Rivera. If nearby, worth a look but I was underwhelmed. Also annoying to charge an additional 35 MXN for a "photo permit" in addition to the 35 MXN entrance fee. More interesting murals by Diego Rivera can be found in the Palacio Bellas Artes at the other end of Alameda Central
