What a bad service. We contacted the agency 5 hours ahead of arrival to let them know of a scheduled flight delay which would make us land 15 minutes after the scheduled departure of the van. They barely responded (and took ages to do so), offering us no alternative nor gesture for putting us on another van. At some point, they simply stopped responding. If you book with them and your flight is delayed, you’re basically screwed. We had to book with another company once we landed. Don’t book with these guys.

Might be a scam

We booked our shuttle the night before our departure at the office just off the main square in Holbox. We were told the van, that seats 18, would be waiting for us when we arrived. After getting off the 1pm ferry, we walked over to meet our 1:30 shuttle and it was no where to be found.

I called the office and was put on hold twice and then disconnected.

During this time another shuttle company came over and asked to see our tickets. After showing them, they called someone and came back and said they could take us, but not to our terminal unless we paid 50 pesos more. In addition the van was full and we had to cram two people to one seat.

With the choice of not having a ride or cramming in, we took the van, but it is clear that Transfer Holbox just books you into other shuttles giving you the last seat On a hot and bumpy ride.

Shuttle did not show up

My husband and I purchased tickets with Transfer Holbox for their shuttle from Chiquila to Cancun Intl. We paid in cash at their office in Holbox. We were told that the shuttle would be waiting for us after getting off the ferry in Chiquila. At the time of purchase (the evening before our departure the next afternoon), they told us there were only six seats booked on a shuttle that can hold 18.

When we arrived off the ferry in Chiquila, however, there was no Transfer Holbox shuttle at the designated meeting point. Several other passengers who had similarly purchased tickets with Transfer Holbox were also waiting and confused. However, there was another company’s shuttle loading up next to us. At first, they told us that we had tickets with a different company. Then, they told us that the companies were shared and that we could actually go with them, and loaded us onto their bus. There were 19 people squeezed into a van and it was hot, crowded, and uncomfortable.

Other issues: The shuttle we were on also only drops passengers at Terminal 2 rather than stopping at each terminal. Also, the shuttle does not use the toll road so the trip takes at least a half hour longer than it should.

I’m not sure if Transfer Holbox is a scam in collaboration with several other companies that sell shuttle tickets and then load people up into one joint shuttle, or if they actually messed up and didn’t show for the shuttle departure we had booked. Either way, you should avoid this company at all costs. Not the way to end a beautiful and relaxing vacation in Holbox.

Chauffeur très désagréable

Honnêtement les prix pour les transfert Chiquila-Aeroport Cancun sont identiques partout. Le chauffeur nous attendait mais nous a traité comme du bétail : aucun mot gentil et aucun sourire. Nos co-passagères lui ont demandé de l'aide en arrivant à l'aéroport mais il ne les écoutait même pas. La personne la moins agréable rencontrée lors du voyage au Mexique....

Todo iba bien hasta antes de tomar la van, les explico, un mes antes me puse en contacto con la agencia y la atención fue excelente, acercándose la fecha mediante whatsapp se pusieron en comunicación conmigo para confirmar mi viaje, mientras esperaba en el aeropuerto contestaron mis dudas sin ningún problema peeero llego la Van y los problemas. Empezamos nuestro viaje y nuestro chofer se la pasaba viendo el celular y contestanto mensajes (muy peligroso) durante casi todo el trayecto!!!!, unos 50 min antes de llegar a Chiquilá entendí la razón, se salió de la calle principal que cruza uno de los pueblos antes de Chiquilá (iba viendo el Maps) para recoger a su familia!!!!, ya con la familia a bordo supuse que las distracciones acababan, pero no!, se la pasaba volteando con su esposa e hijas para platicar con ellas en vez de ver el camino y platicar (yo creo que si se puede), caímos un par de veces en baches muy feos por sus distracciones. Llegamos tantito retrasados a Chiquilá y aun así esperaba propina.

we travelled with them both from cancun airport to Holbox and from holbox to cancun center. They offer what you pay, professional and safe. I recommend them.

Premesso che tutte le agenzie di holbox praticano gli stessi prezzi per i vari transfer (il nostro era chiquila cancun). Prenotiamo il transfer direttamente da holbox per il giorno seguente. Le indicazioni che ci hanno dato per rintracciare il minibus al porto di chiquila erano sbagliate e per fortuna siamo riusciti chiedendo un po' in giro a identificare l area di parcheggio. Tuttavia dopo aver trovato il nostro minibus scopriamo che si erano dimenticati di informare l autista dei nostri nominativi, con conseguente mancanza di posto per noi. Morale siamo riusciti a trovare un mezzo alternativo grazie all aiuto Dell autista (molto disponibile e gentile). Magari si è trattato di una svista però con turisti che non conoscono il luogo, dovrebbero dare informazioni precise dato che il passaggio non è proprio regalato. Mi sono sentito abbastanza preso in giro. Sconsigliato

Muy mala experiencia

Contratamos los servicios para ir desde Chiqula hasta el aeropuerto de Cancún. El taxi que nos llevaba salía a las 10.30. A las 10.35 encontramos un taxi de la compañía contratada en el lugar indicado pero no había conductor, solo una familia dentro. Así que preguntamos si era el que iba al aeropuerto, comprobamos tickets y vimos que era el nuestro. Puesto que nos moríamos de calor entramos con ellos al taxi (el coche estaba en marcha con el aire puesto).
A las 10.38 (8 minutos más tarde de la hora de salida) el conductor vino y nos dijo que quien nos había dado permiso para entrar, que como sabíamos que ese era nuestro taxi, que éramos unos irrespetuosos que viajábamos sin respetar las normas de los países ajenos... nos quedamos a cuadros después de la bronca propinada sin saber que decir más que DISCÚLPENOS.
Al llegar a Cancún nos acercamos para comentarle que nos había parecido mal el trato dado a lo que no quiso si quiera dirigirnos no la mirada ni la palabra.
Hasta la familia Mexicana que venía con nosotros nos sugirió la reclamación porque nos comentaron que no era normal el trato.
Además, Héctor (qué así se llamaba el conductor) condujo de pena, frenazos y aceleró es continuos durante dos horas.
Sin duda la peor experiencia de México.

Great Going, Not the Best Returning

It was great to see the placard with our names upon leaving the airport. Russell was our driver, and he was very good. He even stopped at our request so we could pick up some soft drinks at a convenience store.
We arrived at the ferry to Holbox in time so we only had a short wait. He had our ferry tickets for us. On the other end, a taxi service picked us up for the short ride (golf cart style) to the hotel.
Vehicles were clean and comfortable on both trips.
Return trip was okay until we were trying to find the rental car place. The driver didn't quite understand where we needed to go (we were not departing on a flight, but picking up our car for the remainder of our trip), so he dropped us off at a departure area. We were 5-8 minutes from the car rental pick-up, but had to take a taxi to actually get there. The driver didn't wait to make sure we were in the right place (we were not). That cost us about an extra hour and a half of waiting in the wrong area before we finally got the taxi.
