Hola. Como nosotros tenìamos que viajar a Tekax rentamos un auto y de regreso a Mèrida pasamos a la Hacienda Sotuta de Peòn, por lo que no se còmo trasladarse de Mèrida a la hacienda. Nosotros llegamos y ahì contratamos el tour que nos dijeron empezaba a las 10 am. Es una visita que vale mucho la pena y puedes meterte al cenote y si lo deseas comer en el restaurante de la hacienda, la comida deliciosa.

Tengo entendido que no, pero como te han aconsejado, vale mejor la pena llames.

It takes 45 min to 1 hr to drive from Merida to Hacienda Sotuta de Peon. The road is very good but it's a country road so you can't drive very fast even though the distance isn't very far.

I believe so. However, you may not get to see the active process of making the rope. Also, I am not sure if you can visit the cenote or the oldest keeper of the grounds (who speaks only the local native language, not Spanish) unaccompanied. I highly recommend the tour. It is not expensive and you learn alot about the industry, history, and how the Hacienda is maintaining itself and contributing to the local people.
