Where to start! My friends and I recently took a vacation to Quintana Roo, Mexico, with the goal of diving for 12 straight days. We planned to explore the best cenotes and enjoy a few dives in Cozumel.
DivePoint Mexico handled everything seamlessly. They planned our dives, air fills, dive boats, adjusted for changing conditions, facilitated equipment repairs, and provided transportation to incredible cenotes across the Yucatán Peninsula—from Cancun, through Playa del Carmen, all the way down to Tulum. Along the way, they introduced us to delicious local food spots.
One of our goals was to dive with the bull sharks off the coast of Cozumel. Although we were a bit early in the season, DivePoint strategized and planned our dives to maximize our chances. Sure enough, on our second-to-last diving day, we encountered sharks during our drift dives.
The entire experience was fantastic, but the highlight was the professionalism and expertise of the DivePoint guides. These elite professional divers, who are also cave explorers, made us feel completely safe and protected.
By the 10th day, I had fallen a bit ill. DivePoint went above and beyond by helping me get medication and taking me to a local doctor who accepted my insurance. We were truly in the best hands possible, and I will definitely be returning to get fully cave certified through DivePoint Mexico. This trip was one of those experiences that changes your life forever.
P.S. if you are looking for a more chill recreational diving experience they are perfect for that as well. But we had requested the full experience and they delivered!

I did the five day cenote diving package with Pierre, and it was so excellent. First, the cenotes: astonishing stuff, unique in my experience. They're as beautiful as the pictures lead you to believe; my favs were the spooky Angelita and the verdant Carwash. The diving itself was well-designed for my experience (got to follow a cavern line on the first dive instead of just a checkout) and super safe, everything communicated clearly and all the rules followed. Pierre has vast knowledge about both the cenotes and—crucially—great places with delicious local cooking for lunch and dinner. He gave me useful tips on my technique and was a master as using the flashlight to enhance the effects of different caverns. Finally, all the logistics were handled so well all I had to do was be outside my hostel at a certain time. Pierre and Divepoint get a big recommendation from me.

My family and our close friends visited Playa del Carmen and planned to scuba dive with our very newly PADI certified kids (four kids in total ages 12 and 13). After reading other reviews about how great the Divepoint team was with kids we contacted them. Christine responded with hours and answered all of our questions! We booked a morning two tank dive and were promptly picked up right from our hotel and taken to the launch spot. We were greeted by our amazing dive team, Pierre and Paulina. They were wonderful! They were so incredibly patient with the kids and made sure every detail was taken care of. They took such time and care with all the kids so they felt comfortable in their gear and in the water. Even during the dive when some kids had trouble with their ears or mask, they were so patient and great with them. We ended up going on a second dive several days later. I would highly recommend Divepoint and will most definitely be booking with them again when we visit next time. I couldn’t have asked for a better dive experience for our kids.

We loved diving with Mario. He was so patient and helpful. We also really appreciated his love for the location and added knowledge and history of the sites. It was a great experience to have a personal dive master. We were also very happy with the quality of the gear!
One thing to note is that the best way to get in touch is over WhatsApp, there is no physical shop, they pick you up directly for your dives. Make sure if you don't get any info via email you touch base through the WhatsApp number on the website.

Took a leap of faith and booked dives online with Divepoint. They don’t have a shop, but they certainly have a network of dive connections in and around Playa Del Carmen. I dove with Pierre on 2 separate days. He was very professional, knowledgeable, safe and demonstrated a passion for diving and particularly diving the cenotes. My first day was with my daughter who was certified in a quarry in the US and had never been diving in the ocean. Pierre gave her personalized attention and helped her through some first dive jitters . It was very important and special to me that she could receive the attention Pierre gave. We had bad weather for a couple days after that which prevented us from our second dive day. Christine remained in constant contact and continued to offer a refund or alternate dive options. Ultimately my Brother and I dove the los ojos cenote again with Pierre. Wow…the cenote dive was not like anything I had ever seen and Ive been diving for over 40 years. Great dives, great people at Divepoint. Hope more people can enjoy the company of these passionate professionals,

Dive point is absolutely amazing! I had gone with her to Dos Ojos back in 2021, and reached out again when my plans in Cozumel fell through due to weather. She was incredibly accommodating and helped me save my vacation! I keep coming back again and again!

Amazing time diving with this team. Planning the dive date/time with Christina was easy as Christina's communication was excellent and she made us feel comfortable before we even got to meet the team in person.
Our Dive Master, Paulina, was absolutely stellar. She helped us feel understand the risks of the dive site before we got in the water by letting us know the what makes Cozumel special and different from other dive sites, but of course she also shared information with us to help us know what exciting things to look out for at each of the two dive sites. It was very obvious that Paulina knew what she was doing and is an expert.
Couldn't have asked for a better experience, if we are back in the area, we will definitely use DivePoint Mexico again. I don't know how the trip could have been any better!

What a great time we had diving with Christine's team. My two boys and I (boys aged 12 and 14) got certified together 5 months ago and this was our very first dive outside of our training dives. We had no idea what the experience would be like, but Christine walked us through every step!
Booking online was very easy. Then two days before our trip Christine contacted me through WhatsApp and did all the last minute setting up and made sure we knew exactly what to expect on the day. The day of the dive she and her crew picked us up right outside our AirBnB and drove us to the boat. The dive experience itself was amazing. One of my boys is autistic and our dive master, Laura, picked up on it and was wonderful with him when he had trouble equalizing. She really was wonderful. The dive itself was smooth and so easy for new divers!
Being our first ocean dive, this is an experience my boys and I will remember forever. Thank you to Christine and her team! If we find ourselves in Playa again we will definitely be in touch with DivePoint Mexico!!
