I am sorry we don't manage PADI certifications from November to May because from our point of view the reef divings in Tulum can be too rough for beginners but we can make you dive in a very unique and amazing place without certification. Casa cenote is an open air cenote in the middle of the mangrove with crystal clear water, with no waves and a perfect visibility year round. If you want to go on with your course even if the weather conditions aren't the best, I would be happy recommend you to get in touch with another very experienced and professional dive center in Tulum. Hola Charlotte don't worry if we propose this kind of diving it's because it's 100% safe ! What we manage is cavern diving, not cave which means that we always have a visual contact with the sunrays, there are no restrictions and we are always at maximum 50 meters from an exit (but the most part of the diving, we'll be at much less than 50 meters.) Also it won't be so dark because we'll all have a flashlight and won't be the only ones diving the cenote ! If it would have a tiny risk, we wouldn't take it. Be sure you'll enjoy it and will forget you were nervous before as soon as you enter in this magical world !

Yes, you'll need at least a PADI Open Water level licence or similar to scuba dive the caverns. But you can snorkel in most of them - and I am sure you can get a trial dive in the ocean with La Calypso Dive Center (or an OW course, if you are keen on trying). The Caribbean is a VERY nice place to have a first dive experience. Have a fantastic vacation!
