Lived in the North East for 50 years & never visited this theatre before. One of our family members was on stage tonight & what a fantastic experience for her & the family. The atmosphere of the theatre is amazing, so much so we’ve just booked to go back in just over a week for a different performance!
If you haven’t been you must try this great theatre - Fully recommend 👍

Brilliant trip with the Grandchildren to see a film. What a little gem this small theatre is. Good seating, excellent sound system, nice bar and spotlessly clean toilets. I was so impressed I've booked to take them to the panto here rather than the larger theatre in Newcastle. I'm not sure if many people know that they are showing movies now as it was very quiet so hope it gets more popular as its really worth it.

Didn’t even know this place existed until a couple of years ago, and my what a wonderful little gem it is, just attended our 2nd panto which was fabulous, and rebooked for 2022, everything was lovely, staff are lovely, box office were amazingly helpful, facilities are lovely and the panto was brilliant, thank you to all and keep up the fantastic work

Couldn’t stop my butt cheeks dancing in the chair, loved the whole show. Band members were awesome, great sense of humour.
Fav song ‘I started a joke’………
Last song blew me out of my seat, I was the one with the helicopter arms ready for take off. Crazy lady….
Loved the size of the venue, great seating ( I’m small and usually can’t see the stage for the person in front , no problem at all with view ). Staff brilliant and helpful
Overall great experience, highly recommended.

Great balls of Fire was a Fantastic performance. Had a great time singing along & dancing. I attended the performance along and was made to feel extremely welcome by staff and other audience members. A great little theater with big character and atmosphere. Also tickets & drink are reasonable priced too.

Saw the Russian National Ballet perform Swan Lake. Great little compact theatre, brilliant performance. Will definitely go again. Highly recommended

Had an interesting afternoon at Phoenix Theatre learning about its history, how it has been developed, problems getting productions on stage....and about the two resident ghosts !!
Expertly told by Chris, Theatre Manager -
Followed by a lovely afternoon tea, lovely sandwiches, delicious scones with cream & jam then Victoria Sandwich cake. All served by the lovely staff on duty who catered to our every need.
Not sure if this will be a regular thing they do...but good to support them if they do.
Excellent value for money.
Oh, I make a damn fine scone myself & these were definitely on a par with mine - high praise.

visited this venue to see grease live which was great and also I have been for my sons football presentation, it is a great place with good facilities. Bar and rollover hotdogs were available at not bad prices.

My wife and I spent a fantastic evening at the Phoenix Theatre in Blyth, last night (10 May 19) watching "Respect to Aretha" with Letitia George and her fantastic group of backing singers and musicians. Wow what a professional show and what a talented singer Letitia really is. We have spent considerably more seeing shows in Newcastle that do not compare to the quality and professionalism of the musical feast. Brilliant

This theatre gets in all manner of productions - plays, musicals, and music acts. They host many professional shows and acts, but also amateur - and the amateur shows are of a professional standard that could hold their own against the best. Excellent theatrical venue.
