We had the best time deep sea fishing with Jaime and Javier! We caught Mahi Mahi and then hooked a HUGE marlin. My husband and the guide reeled for 3 hours before it sadly broke the line. But we still had a great time - once in a lifetime experience to reel a 600 lb (estimated) marlin! Our driver was prompt, professional and really nice as well. He helped us get our mahi mahi cleaned at the marina before taking us back to the hotel. We will definitely use brothers charters when we come back to Cabo!

We fished on the 45 foot Cabo Express with Captain Ivian and had a terrific time. Great and comfortable boat, friendly and professional and experienced crew with Captain Ivian piloting this boat for 17 years.
Caught my first striped Marlin....wonderful experience. Thank you Brothers Charters.
We highly recommend Brothers Charters and especially Captain Ivian...will be back in November and already counting the days!

Franco is the best! My girlfriends and I had the best time @ rancho San Cristóbal rising camels by the ocean and rising vipers in Montanita desert. The cherry on the top was the sunset experience ! Thumbs up, hands up to this guys!

My husband and I were recently in Cabo and he was set on going Sport Fishing. I have never done this type of activity before, especially for a 5 hour excursion, so was reluctant to say yes. The gentleman (I think Eric?!) who picked us up was extremely friendly and fun to chat with on our car ride down. We got on our boat (I believe a 26' size one) and within an hour or so I caught a mahi mahi which I thought was exciting. We were offered to keep the fish on ice and take it home with us. It was a nice day so I was enjoying just being out on the water if that was the only thing we'd catch that day. On our return into the marina, our lines caught 2 massive marlin and my husband and I got to each reel in the marlin! It was exhausting but I had fun. For any wives out there reading this on behalf of your husbands, would recommend this trip! It was my husband's favorite day out in Cabo! We also saw a lot of dolphins and whales close by to our boat! Thank you to the captain and first mate for a fun day.

We rented a yacht last weekend and had a wonderful time! Our kids got to jump off the front of the boat, swim, paddle board and see the arch! Snorkeling was too murky because of the storm, but everything else was great! They made us an amazing lunch and the service was great! We were definitely spoiled!

My wife did not want to go fishing. Her idea of fishing is dropping a lined on the side of the boat and wait. She expected to be bored for several hours. We booked the Dorado #1, a 28' California fishing boat. We started out early and once we passed the lands end, Ariel Jr. started dropping lines in the water. His father was the Captain. We started out at 7am with a lot of other boats in various sizes and caught our first Mahi Mahi. I wanted to keep my wife engaged so I let her reel in the first one.
We ultimately caught 2 Mahi Mahi. While Ariel Jr was on the fly bridge, he saw a Marlin off the Starboard side of the boat. He quickly jumped down and threw another "pre-baited line" with a live fish in the water. While his dad drove in a circle to keep the Marlin in his sights, he caught it. He handed the reel to me and said get ready. He pulled all the other lines in the boat to have no obstruction. It was a good fight but the Marlin swallowed the entire bait but did not get hooked. After a few minutes of fighting, he spit out the bait and was gone.
We fished for another hour or so and spotted another one. Same story, he threw another line in the water to try and wrangle it to take the bait. No luck the 2nd time. All in all, we had a great time. My wife said she is looking forward to another fishing trip. We went for 1/2 day, had a couple beers and waters. We did not get a lunch on the 1/2 day trip. Teo & Rolando met us back on the dock when we were done. He asked if we were going to keep the fish. I kept 1 and offered the other to the crew. They were appreciative with the fish and the cash tip.
We had the fish processed at the dock and kept the meat. We already had a cooler with ice so off we went. We walked over to Senior Frogs and had them prepare 1/2 of the meat. Excellent fish tacos. We had so much food left over, we offered the rest to a couple of young brothers from Cancun who were vacationing there also. They could not have been more excited.

I booked three 8-hour fishing trips and had an amazing time. I chartered the 26ft Sea fox for all three days. We caught skipper jacks, dorado, blue shark and an 8ft, 154 lb. striped marlin. We were able to see a humpback whale, numerous sea turtles, manta-rays, seals and flying fish. I had an amazing time with captain Hugo. He was on fish for all three days, and was happy to let me smoke cigars the entire time. The packed lunches were plentiful and included Rolando's wife's homemade burritos and amazing salsa. I am excited to come back down and go fishing with them again. Thank you Teo and Rolando for an amazing three days.
I am addressing the negative review by TessW621 because I almost made the decision to not book with them but realized some inconsistences;
The complaint of not setting the lines herself. I asked and they had no problem with me assisting. They provide any level of service you want, but unfortunately they cannot read minds. The same goes with the lunch. When I was hungry, I ate.
The complaint about the direction into the Sea of Cortez as opposed to the pacific side "...where the fish were biting." is irrelevant since they hooked onto a marlin. The job of the captain was to get into the fish, that is what they did. Where they did is irrelevant.
The complaint about the mate going up to the fly bridge is also wrong. Completely wrong. So wrong as it has me questioning if this person ever fished before. A large portion of marlin fishing is sight fishing for the fins sticking out of the water. The higher vantage point is an advantage to spot the Marlin. So, yes there is a huge reason for the mate to go up there.
The complaint of the line being tied wrong also does not make a lot of sense. If the line broke because it was tied incorrectly, then one would not have seen it was tied incorrectly. That would have been the fail point. The knot would not have been there to inspect.

We LOVE Rolando! We met Rolando 6 years ago on our first trip to Cabo. The folks that operated the Turtle Release recommended him because I was looking for someone that would customize a tour out to Lover's Beach and take me shopping. Once I made contact with him I also inquired about airport transfers and arranged those with him as well. Rolando always arrives early, and he's very friendly and professional. He was able to arrange a boat out to Lover's Beach and we got to walk around the beach while he watched our belongings. He then took us in to town for some shopping. We visited Cabo again August 2, 2020, and I contacted Rolando again for airport transfers. He was very responsive to my messages, and was waiting for us at the airport as we came out of Customs. When it was time to return home, he picked us up at the Hard Rock, and he was early as usual :). He never makes us wait, and he is always professional. We will always use Rolando for our transportation and customized tours!

Rolando Verdin has transported us to/from the airport and has done private tours for our family also. He is always on time, careful and a pleasure to deal with. His prices are fair and his vehicles are clean and well maintained. If we have a question, Rolando is very quick to respond.
We will always call Rolando for our transportation and tour s in Cabo.
We are looking forward to booking a fishing trip through him as well.

Horrible experience. Where to begin? My husband and I chartered (through a 5 star hotel) the 45’ Cabo Express (over $2200) for a day of fishing. We are experienced anglers. We were picked up promptly at our hotel and taken to the marina. It was down hill from there. We get on the boat and the Captain did not greet us. Not a word from the mate either. The captain makes a straight line course due north up the eastern side coast, which surprised me because ALL other charters headed to the Pacific side where the fish were biting. At this point, I’m confused as to what the plan is, but I stayed silent. About 20 minutes in, the mate throws some lines in the water. I’m still confused, as I always prep and set the equipment myself. But, I remain silent thinking he’s setting his own lines. Then at about the 40 minute point the mate heads up to be with the captain on the fly bridge. There is NO reason for the mate to go up there. From that point they ignored us. We are now over an hour in and I yell up to the fly bridge....”Hey....when do we start fishing”. A serious question! They both laughed at me and said, “we have been”!
We travel the world and I have learned, never escalate a bad situation when you are in a foreign country. So, we just played along and tolerated the hostile treatment. Two hours in and the mate and Captain are both still up on the fly bridge talking and having a good time when one line gets a bite. I’m not sure who is expected to work this as neither my husband nor I set the line. Mate looks at me and says “sure, go ahead”. I start to reel the Marlin in and the line breaks at the leader. I examined the leader and see that the mate tied it poorly. Oh well. Mate heads back upstairs and we never saw him again. During this time, we were supposed to be offered a lunch. They “forgot” to give it to us and at the end of the charter they handed us soggy sandwiches from the convenience store that were left in the sun all day. To add insult, the captain kept the water off so that we could not use the head. I asked once (after 3 hours on boat) to use the head and he got angry with me. He turned it on briefly, scoffed at me to hurry, then promptly turned it back off.
My husband and I are super easy going and go with the flow. This was not just an “off day” fishing. This was straight up dangerous hostility towards us. We could not wait to get back on shore. Once we got to shore, the owner of the company asked how it went. We immediately told him everything. He was a little surprised and concerned but just said “Wow, sorry”. The owner even saw the mate hand us the soggy sandwiches at the END of the charter. Owner also confirmed the water was off. Our entire story checked out and all he said was “sorry”. We booked this through Waldorf Astoria and told them everything as well. Funny thing is, the only time we saw the captain was at the end of the trip when he asked us for a tip. He said he “lives off tips”. OMG, really?? Should have thought of that earlier. We are big tippers and it is common for us to tip 30% plus on good service. I just wanted away from him, so I handed him a wad of cash ($300) and then told him it was the worst charter I’ve ever experienced.
Wasted over $2500 on this charter.
