From beginning to end our experience with CaboTrek was fun and comprehensive.
There was always a warm, inviting feeling, accompanied by great knowledge and professionalism from the staff.
Vanuza, our guide, is so experienced. Breaking down important whale facts for us, while being attentive to the group to make sure we had the best sights and sounds of the humpbacks. Our captain, Adrian was also incredibly skilled, and we felt so lucky and safe in the hands of this team while following and watching the whales at a safe distance.
I would highly recommend doing this activity with CaboTrek. Seeing so much whale activity for the first time is very moving.

Both our knowledgeable captain, Frankie, and marine biologist, Angelica, were amazing! Knowing just when to share interesting info, point our eyes in the right direction, or just let us enjoy the awe of seeing these beautiful creatures doing their thing. Absolutely amazing trip! We did a middle of the day, 2:30 trip and saw so much activity. Have already recommended to friends! Awesome!

This was an EPIC day for us! We saw many breaches - even 2 whales at a time. Vanussa, our guide did a super job teaching us all about the whales and their behaviors and captured incredible photos that we will treasure. It was a great bucket list “Checkoff”!!

Angie was an excellent guide and knew so much information. Freddy was a great driver; we felt safe! We saw several whales during our 2.5 hour tour.

Extremely easy to book, great process. The marine biologist Angelica was fantastic , very knowledgeable and friendly. Freddy, our captain was safe and quick to locate the whales , while still keeping safe distance to these magnificent mammals. Our group was a nice small group of 10 which was perfect. We were so impressed with the number of whales and a very active baby whale that we saw. Don’t worry if you miss a photo or video, Angelica takes amazing photos and she sells the lot for $50 USD (aprox 140 photos) Overall and amazing tour and highly recommended!

Best part of my vacation. The staff was very nice and quite professional. They did a great job finding whales, and it was really nice having a biologist on board.

We were in Cabo for Spring Break last weekend. We went out with Andrea and Freddy on the Valentina and saw around 30 whales (escorts, mom, and babies). Andrea was so knowledgable. Freddy got us close to the whales (really close) while keeping us and the whales safe. I would not hesitate to use Cabo Trek again and have already recommended them to my friends. My pictures and videos are unbelievable. Something I will always treasure.

We are arriving in Cabo via cruise ship, docking at 10 am and leaving at 8 pm. Should we be worried about doing a whale watch with you and not getting back in time for our ship departure?

I believe that you can do a 1/2 day trip and make it back to your ship, easily; especially since Cabo Trek is located right at the Marina and the cruise ship stops right outside the Marina (if not; or, even afterward, have a meal and a margarita at The Office -- the Baja Burrito is fantastic).
We will be in Cabo the first week of April (5th-12th). Do you think there is still a good chance of seeing the whales on one of your excursions or is it too late in the season?

Yes we see whales from the 15th of December till the 15th of April which is the official whale watching season of Cabo San Lucas.

My fiance and I will be on our honeymoon in Cabo from November 5th-8th. From what I'm reading, it looks like our trip might be off-season for whale watching...is that correct?

Hi,whale watching season start the 15th of December and ends the 15th of April. If you're specifically looking for gray whales than February/March is tgevrifmght time. If Blue whales are the ones you're looking for than March is the right month. I hope this helps :-)

We will be in Cabo in July. I believe this is out of season for any of he whale tours,correct? What is the best tour for that time of year. Definitely would like chance to swim with whales, sealions, etc if available.
We have travelled to Cabo several times before but only done sunset sail. Looking for a bit more adventure experience this time

Hi,
first of all thank you for your email.
In July we have 2 options:
1) Day trip to Espiritu Santo Island
2) Scuba diving
So regarding the option 1 this is a tour that includes a 2,5 hours drive from Cabo San Lucas to La Paz and an 5 hour boat tour were the highlight is surely the colony of 300 sea lions. On the return from this trip it is possible to stop in Todos Santos.
Regarding the Scuba Diving there are various option that include half day in Cabo San Lucas or full day tours to Cabo Pulmo, a lot depends on your level of expertise and what you would like to do. For sure is that diving in Cabo is also a great activity where encounters with many different species of marine life, including sharks and sea lions are possible.
