Eco Adventures not honest

We visited Eco Adventures and talked to Juan for the bioluminescence tour. Juan was not honest about the tour. He said that we would see both white and blue plankton because he said that he had seen blue plankton the previous night. There was no blue plankton, only white. He also said that we had to go that night because the moon was getting brighter as it was a waxing crescent and the brighter the moon, the less you could see the plankton. This was also a lie because when you get to the lagoon, you go inside a tent over the water where the moonlight is irrelevant. If they're not honest about the bioluminescence tour, they're probably not honest about any other tour. I recommend you avoid Eco Adventures. On a positive note, our driver to/from the lagoon was very nice and helpful.

WHAT A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! The beach alone was truly magnificent! Our guide was kind and very informative. What I loved about THIS turtle release, is that it is not as commercial as other ones and we each got about 7 babies to release!!! (Other tours that I looked into do not let each person have a bowl of turtles!) I was already forewarned that some of the babies will not successfully make it all the way to the water because of the vigilant seagulls & frigates! But some do, and they are only 2 hours old when you release them - so it is amazing to see them automatically scamper towards the water. Then, we were able to enjoy a splendid sunset on the beach and on the ride back - we enjoyed cervezas and waters!

Nice to enjoy in a thousand ways
Puerto angel is not nudist, it is very nice, Zipolite if it is nudist but optional is not obligation, beach window is nice if you want to know the turtles but I was unlucky that I did not reach quota

Excellent Service - Chacahua Tour

It is an incredible experience, the Guide very attentive, at all times was giving us data about the place, everything was carried out as itinerary, we were offered bottles of water, the Guide always attentive if we wanted to take any photo, gave us time to tour the place and enjoy more activities.
Undoubtedly I recommend this tour for the great wealth that the place has and for the great service they gave us.

Absolutely loved this tour. Unfortunately we were not able to find an English speaking guide and none of us knew more than very basic Spanish. We were able to still enjoy the trip and find dolphins, turtles and whales! What an incredible experience!

Magical bioluminescence, average experience
The bioluminescence was a magnificent sight and it was fun to play in the water at night. The experience included a driver who seemed really impatient to get to the experience, get back in the boat, and drive us all back home. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone else who is sensitive to bright and/or flashing lights. I spent the time when the boat was moving with my eyes closed—the flashlights the boat operators use to navigate and communicate are blinding (pro tip: Sit behind the boat operator so you don’t get blinded!)

Best way to spend a day in Oaxaca
Our guide Juan Carlos gave us the best day on the coast! We did the Oaxacan coast tour and got to visit an island with crocodiles and feed deer, go snorkeling and see colorful reef fish, and visit various sites along the coast. We also had a cacao and mezcal tasting and he took us to a great beachside restaurant for lunch.

Bring bug repellent (there are vendors you can buy it from for around 100 pesos) for the island visit. Also bring some cash for breakfast. We had a nice breakfast on the island near the crocodiles. That was around 400 pesos for two people. Plus they ask you to tip the boat captain who brings you to the island. On the boat there is no shade so also bring a hat.

The lunch spot was great for super fresh seafood and took credit cards.

I would definitely recommend this tour and Juan Carlos. It was a highlight of our trip.

Bad experience with cabins in Chacahua.

Good afternoon,

I would like to begin by highlighting the beauty and rich culture of Chacahua, as well as the hard work of its people.

Unfortunately, my experience was marred by the actions of Edgar Javier Herrera Arrazola and his son, Kaled. My family and friends rented cabins from them and although initially everything was going well, something unfortunate happened.

At the end of our stay, I forgot my wallet under my pillow in the cabin. This contained a significant amount of money.

When Mr. Herrera Arrazola and his son returned the wallet, all the money was missing. I confronted them, but they denied any responsibility. It should be noted that they were the only ones who accessed the cabin after our departure.

I reported this incident to the Tututepec prosecutor's office, but despite being summoned, Herrera Arrazola did not appear. Due to time constraints, I was unable to pursue the case further.

It is discouraging that someone known in the community, like Mr. Herrera Arrazola, could act in this way. The money that was stolen was intended to be used in Chacahua, benefiting those who really work hard.

With this letter, I seek to inform future visitors to Chacahua. Be careful when renting cabins from these people to avoid similar situations...

Great Experience!

We we went on two tours with Eco Adventures - releasing baby turtles and Dolphin watching tour - both of which we greatly enjoyed. Efrain and his brother were fantastic at communicating about both tours and showed up on time with smiles on their faces. Very well run and reliable tour agency that I would highly recommend! The Dolphin Watching Tour was particularly memorable - we saw hundreds of dolphins, a whale and some large sea turtles!
