My daughter and I did the 1 hr walking hack. It was easy to book by phone, with all my questions kindly answered. One the day they took great care to ensure we, complete beginners, were comfortable and felt secure. The hack was really fun and we would highly recommend Coombe Stables.

We (family of 4) are currently on holiday in the New Forest and wanted a family experience of riding as my husband and son have never been on a horse before. So we booked onto a walking hack. From the moment we arrived at the stables, we were made to feel welcome. The staff there were all so friendly and eager to make our experience enjoyable. We were given clear instructions and asked about our previous experience. We went out into the forest as a group and really enjoyed our hack. Thank you!
We would certainly recommend Coombe Stable for riding in the New Forest.

Lovely ride today with a whisper and Crumpet. Joe was very knowledgeable and interacted brilliantly with the two little girls on the horses. Would definitely recommend

I booked my daughter onto a one-hour hack at Coombe stables, having never visited before. I am always wary of new stables as we’ve had some bad experiences with rude/patronising staff but everyone here was so welcoming and friendly and took time to introduce themselves. My daughter has social anxiety and everyone really made her feel welcome and put her at ease. She really enjoyed her hack on Tammy, who the staff explained was a former New Forest wild pony. The experience felt more personal and not a production line of hacks like other local stables we have visited (e.g. Bagnum). We have a holiday home nearby and will definitely be returning to this stables rather than others we have tried.

Booked a New Forest Hack with Coombe Stables for my girlfriends birthday and both of us had a fantastic time! We are both complete beginners in horse riding but the friendly staff really help put you at ease. Geoff was a great host and was good company on the hack, and we couldnt have asked for 2 better horses than Quinn and Sugarbaby, who were both so calm.
If you don't have any horse riding experience, but are keen to give it a try, I highly recommend Coombe Stables and the New Forest is a great location too!

I had a lovely ride wit this stables on a very well mannered Forest Pony who looked after me well. It was my first ride in some time and so was slightly nervous. The ride lead was sensible and wonderful to chat to (I was there on my own as my husband doesn't ride). We enjoyed a lovely hack through the New Forest and had a little canter where th eground was soft enough for the horses.
They clearly look after their animals well, which is important to me and we went at a pace that suited both horses and the riders.
Would definitely recommend this yard.

I was lucky enough to be gifted a hack for my birthday in the beautiful New Forest. Being on horseback riding alongside other ponies who are roaming the forest is really quite magical. It was also an absolute pleasure to be guided by someone as knowledgeable and as relatable as Joe who is a member of the team at the stables. We learnt interesting new things about the Forest and my partner even managed to get past his fear of horses as Joe let him pet the horse I was allocated - shout out to Tammy who was an absolute joy to ride and packed full of character. I would recommend this experience to anybody and would come back with friends and family again and again!

Today my 18 yr old son and I went on a treck through the new Forrest on Quinn and sugerbaby . It was the first my son had been on a horse and really enjoyed ourselves.
Beautiful weather considering the wet weather we have had the last few days . The young lady who took us around which I’m afraid I forgot her name being bloody old lol was brilliant and patient with us being novices she had only in tge last couple of years moved down from hayes west London with her mother
Well I couldn’t fault the whole experience
I recommend this stables entirely

Went for a hack here staff were excellent and so kind. Horses were really lovely and well looked after and are clearly part of the family 👍🏻

My long suffering, non- horsey husband agreed that we could all go for a family hack on our little getaway this week! We had a gorgeous time with impeccably behaved horses and a wonderful route to walk! Even my husband and son thoroughly enjoyed himself (they are both non-horsey!) Joe & the lovely lady I was talking to (sorry I didn’t catch her name!) were ever so friendly and really made it a great experience. I could have died seeing the gorgeous ponies grazing freely as we walked by!

How young would you allow someone to ride?
My daughter is 2 years old and I was wondering if there is any limit on age?
