Such a cute place. So happy I found it on the list of things to do in Red Deer. Our 2 year old loves tractors and animals so we had a beautiful morning strolling around checking things out. It’s pay by donation and a very help yourself vibe so you are free to roam around and check out the huge collection of old farm equipment, animals, tools, old homes etc. We would love to come back when there is an event on as I’m sure the train ride would be a huge hit.

I have been here many times as a classroom teacher on a field trip with my students an as a grandma with my granddaughter. For school kids there is so much to be learned, the programs offered are great! The live animals are a treat too especially for city kids who usually on't get to see these animals.

It's small but cute and free.... I wish that there was something going on at the time. I wasnt there long but it was a nice way to spend an hour that wasnt watching t.v.

Great place to experience the early days of Alberta's farming heritage. Many artifacts to browse and buildings and vintage machinery to see. They sometimes have kids daycamps too and Pioneer days each summer. Very nostalgic memories of past years arise here. Great for kids and adults alike.

This is great place to take the children for a fun learning experience about the Good Old Days. Learn to make Butter n Home made ice. Ream. There's a concession on site. Park for the children tp play at & animals to pet.

For all the years we have been going to Red Deer we have only just discovered this Farm museum. Run by volunteers it is well worth a visit,admission is by donation and open daily and weekends in the summer,reduced hours in winter. A lunch is available on Wednesday’s we had soup ,sandwich and delicious home made pie and ice cream. A walk around the farm you will see old farming equipment, animals and century old log house. The downside of the farm is that there is no water and very little shade available and it was hot when we went.

Yes, who would have thought a cool farm museum would be surrounded by commercial and residential districts?
But there it is: a really neat museum with everything you will ever need to remind yourself that we are spoiled by running rater, electricity, the Internet, AC tractors and combines, and paved roads.

Fantastic place to take the family, especially if you really young children. Lots to learn and experience...live displays and a petting zoo. Red Deer is lucky to have this museum...near to Bower Mall. Check beforehand for events. We're likely going to volunteer.

Neat farm museum. Great for kids, as there is room to run and a playground. Animals were not there, as they were done for the season. Pay by donation.
