Found Jandana Ranch by accident. I'm so glad we did. The cabins are very well kept and clean. Loved having the goats come and greet us every morning. The instructors were very helpful. I've been riding for years so it was great to get in the saddle again. We have been back multiple times and we took my 2 year old grandson last time.

I took my Granddaughter to Jandana for riding lessons. It was a great experience. A very welcoming group . We hope to return in the spring!

I don't even know where to start....poorly managed, not clean and bad communication. My girlfriend and I booked cabin number 1 and got there closer to 8pm. No one was around...when we got there we saw a white board with cabin numbers and names on them. Our name was under cabin 1 and therefor we entered cabin 1 which just seemed to be left unlocked.
There was already a bunch of personal belongings in the cabin from another couple. We were able to get a hold of management and they came down to the cabins. The people who were staying in our cabin returned a while later and refused to leave our cabin even after ranch management had asked them to leave.
Ranch management then told us to leave eventho we had our name on that cabin, deposit paid and booked that specific cabin. With no cabins left for us to stay in and ranch management not able to get those other people to leave who double booked another cabin we had no choice but drive around in the middle of the night trying to find another place to sleep.
1. Poor poor management of the range.
2. They double book cabins
3. Rude management
4. Wasted our entire weekend
5. DO NOT STAY HERE there are other nice, cleaner and way better managed ranches around.
I travel a lot and I have NEVER ever experienced anything like this. It was total chaos!!!!!!
Management at this ranch is a mess!

Spent a couple of nights there & took 2 lessons in horsemanship. If you want a relaxed place to get away from it all, this' it. Their accommodation was sufficient with a beautiful view. My instructors were young, knowledgeable & managed to make me feel more comfortable handling a horse. Would love to go there again.

If you really love horses, you will enjoy your time here because their needs and comforts are placed very high. They practice natural horsemanship and the horses actually enjoy their interactions with humans - not just those who own/work there, but also guests who are taught to be how to think like a horse and how to be fair and friendly. That is reflected in the horse's attitudes; they are calm and content. I learned there are plenty of fun ways to 'play' with a horse, from the ground as well as from above. There are cabins with stunning views of the valley and grazing horses, for rent at a reasonable rate. There are very friendly people here, from the owners and trainers, to an established community of boarding horse owners. It was refreshing to visit a horse establishment where competition among riders and handlers is seemingly nonexistent; instead there seems to be much non-judgmental support of each other and of newcomers like me. I thoroughly enjoyed my 3-day stay, although I picked a cold time of year. I hope to return for a longer stay in the summer.

What a great place to escape to after hectic days with family. We stayed over Christmas and loved it so much we want to come back. All we needed was a place to sleep while visiting my siblings over the holidays. So beautiful and peaceful! Cabin was spotless, had everything we needed & the wood stove made it so warm and cozy I just curled up on the bench next to it and dozed off a couple times. Highly recommended as a getaway even if you don't utilize the equine facilities

We were travelling in the interior in late September and were looking for somewhere to stay around the Kamloops area. We found an add for Jandana in our guide book. My wife phoned to see if they had a spot available for us in our travel trailer. After a friendly phone conversation with Janice, we found out how to get there and were told to just pick a site and we would meet them later as they were in town.
We arrived and settled into the site closest to the entrance as there are only 3 sites available at this time of year.
Jaice and Dave stopped by to introduce themselves and we asked about registering and they said "we will catch you later, there is no hurry".
We are not horse people but this is an operating horse training, bording and riding facility were they teach natural horsemanship. There is an aura about this place that just seemed to make us relax and enjoy ourselves. We went on a lengthy hike with our dogs and I don't think we went off thier property.
We even got to spend a bit of time with some of the people who had horses boarded there and the horses. The alpacas wander about freely to but they are typical aloof animals and just ignored us.
There are some nice cabins on site that overlook the valley too.
The camp sites only have 15 amp power so you need to be careful. The water is supplied by a long hose and there is no permanent sewer hookup.
After spending a few days and meeting with Janice, Dave and Lennox, we would like to come back for a week and maybe learn to ride a little and maybe go on a trail ride.

This is my fifth visit to Jandana and my partners third visit. The four cabins are only basic, but spotlessly clean and have everything you need. They have 1 bedroom ( to sleep 3) if needed and a sofa bed in the main room. There is a small kitchen, with 2 ring hob, fridge, crockery, kettle, coffee maker and microwave. The table and bench over look the paddocks and down to the lake, there is also a small shower room.
As we have normally visited in the height of the summer, it made a change to be there in May and the need to light the woodburner, making it very cosy.
It is a great place to chill out even if you're not into horse riding.
The riding is great and you can take part in as much as you like and learn about natural horsemanship. My first visit with my two daughters 12 years ago led to my eldest daughter having a career as an natural horsemanship instructor and my other daughter following a career with horses. Everyone is so friendly and they have lovely horses.
You can sit out on the porch in the evening and all you here is the wildlife, so quiet and peaceful. Dave & Janice are great hosts!

Great place to visit. worth every penny, especially the horsemanship lessons.
Only thing that was bothering us was the ladies in next door cottage that seemed like a bunch of drunken sailors, drinking and singing loudly until early AM.
Ranch staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Theres also a nice little community park with a beach 20 min walk from the ranch.

De ruim drie uur durende rit werd begeleid door Janice en Lennox. Janice is de eigenares en een zeer ervaren dame die werkt vanuit Natural horsemanship. Alle paarden worden zonder bit gereden en zijn zeer braaf. De rit voerde door de ongerepte natuur over enorme boomstammen en door beekjes dwars door het bos. We moesten afstappen om erdoor te komen. Ongelofelijk hoe de paarden zich een weg wisten te banen door dit soms moeilijk begaanbaar gebied. Een geweldige ervaring en niet te vergelijken met een bosrit in Nederland. Helmen en laarzen worden verstrekt. Onvergetelijk!
