Excellent whale watch! I went on this tour in mid-October. Aly was the marine biologist and Tonio was the pilot. They were very knowledgeable and the narrative enhanced the tour. The information they shared showed their love for the marine life and enjoyment in sharing it with others. I've been on whale watch tours before. This was, by far, the best I've experienced. The people in the office were also incredibly helpful. Well worth the time and money. I'd do it again!

Wir starteten pünktlich im Hafen von Nanaimo. Das Boot ist sehr kraftvoll unterwegs und bei stärkeren Wellengang ist sicher auch mit härteren Aufschlägen auf dem Wasser zu rechnen. Dies sollte bei Rückenproblemen beachtet werden.
Ca. 1 Stunde fuhren wir zwischen den Inseln entlang, dann entdeckten wir drei Buckelwale nahe eines ihrer Lieblingsplätze, wie wir erfuhren. Sehr beeindruckend. Wir verweilten fast 2 Stunden vor Ort um die Tiere beim Auf- und Abtauchen zu beobachten . Wir erfuhren viel Wissenswertes über Buckelwale allgemein und speziell zu diesen 3 Tieren. Die Rückfahrt führte uns vorbei an weiteren heimischen Wassertieren.
Ein sehr freundliche und erfahrenes Team aus Guide und Kaptain begleitete uns. Sehr empfehlenswert ein fantastisches Erlebnis.

De crew was vastberaden om walvissen te spotten we hebben anderhalf uur gevaren en toen kregen we wat we wilden een walvis die een halfuur onder onze boot door bleef zwemmen. Een unieke ervaring die de crew ook nog nooit had meegemaakt

The boat captain and the guide are well informed and provided some very interesting information. We had a fun trip and saw what we came to see. Strong recommendation.

This was an amazing experience for us! The team of Vancouver island whale watching is very friendly and tries to satisfy all your needs. They have a good knowledge about the marine animals living near the island and they give you plenty of information while on the boat.

Ally and Tino were both very knowledgeable and personable. They both obviously had a passion for what they do and were more than happy to answer any questions no matter how many I asked! We were lucky enough to see three different humpbacks and 1 orca! We even got a free show from the humpbacks as they proceeded to smack the water with there pectoral fin. Definitely worth the money and made a lifelong memory!
Would recommend to anybody!

Die Tour war wirklich sehr gut. Alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und geben sich Mühe.
Aufgrund diverser Apps und der Kommunikation mit anderen Anbietern haben wir schnell Orcas gefunden und konnten diese aus guter Entfernung (für die Tiere) beobachten.
Auf unserem Rückweg haben wir sogar nochmal angehalten und eine weitere Familie Orcas gesucht, welche zuvor gesichtet wurde. Auch diese konnten wir dann beobachten. Die Tour dauerte hierdurch länger, man hat sich jedoch die Zeit genommen.
Kleine Info: Während der Fahrt werden Bilder der Tiere gemacht, welche einem nach mehreren Tagen zur Verfügung gestellt werden.
Zusammengefasst: sehr zu empfehlen!

Sorry to hear you are frustrated with our cancellation policy. If we are given notice (more than 24 hours before the tour) we can cancel and refund bookings without any issues, but within the 24 hours before your departure there are no cancellations or changes since we have already committed staff and fuel for the tour.
Unfortunately, since you tried to cancel the day of your trip we couldn't refund you, and although we offered you to come on a standby basis free of charge on another day, you couldn't take us up on that offer. We hope that you still enjoyed your visit to Vancouver Island even though you couldn't join us for a whale watching trip.

Wonderful tour. I definitely do not recommend this for anyone who has back or neck pain, dizziness, or a concussion history as the boat ride out was incredibly painful when the ocean was rough. Well worth the $$ to see the amazing whales and our tour guide (Naturalist) and Captain were amazing even when ignorant sailors tried to ruin our experience.

We appreciate the great review! Correct, our tours are not recommended for anyone with back or neck problems as the waves can be a little bouncy at times depending on the weather. We are always looking out for our whales and educating others boaters about safely operating around them. Thank you again!
