Less than an hour from home, this was a perfect retreat from home. Quiet and well maintained provincial park. Easy to "social distance" during this time of pandemic.

Beautiful campground, very clean, good sized lots and great privacy. Lots of trees and great spots for tents and RV’s. Highly recommended.

We went for a day of fishing to Purden Lake at the end of Sept. It's only about an hours drive from Prince George ....pavement all the way right to the boat launch. Boat launch was good, water was very clear and calm for most of the time. Unfortunately we didn't catch many fish but others did....seemed that fish (mostly kokanee) were deeper and some people were using down riggers. After fishing we drove around the campsite which is well maintained but sites are set way back in the trees, from the shore...cannot see the lake from the camp spots. When we camp at a lake we prefer to see the lake from out camp spot and also not to have to do a hike downhill to the lake which means quite a nice little climb back up to to our trailer. Some would consider this good exercise (o.k. if you're young and able). At this point I should mention that there is a trail still being developed and improved around the lake with sections of boardwalk that sounds nice. We didn't go down it so don't know whether if's easy or difficult or if any parts of it are wheelchair accessible.

Camping spots are a good size and have privacy. The beach is wonderful. Nice to have a dock to tie up to when you bring a boat.

My hubby and I needed to stop along the way for the night and came upon the park we pulled into a spot and the local warden comes around to collect the fees. Make sure to have cash. Its first come first serve. There are flush toilets but no showers. We were in a camper so no big deal. The lots were Beautiful and fully trees and it was very quiet. We didn't do anything else on the park like go to the lake but the campsite was great would stop there again along the way.

We went just for a drive one day and found Pruden Lake to be a very clean and organized camp ground with a clean beach. We did camp there for 5 nights and it was great. Will go back for sure

We often go here for kayaking. It’s a large lake wth opportunity to head to shore to explore. The Lakers clean & hays May bays to explore. The lake has a great trail system also that leads from the recreation area. Walking through the trees with views of the lake are great.

I enjoy swimming at this beach and like the dog beach. Be aware that there is no cell service at this lake.

As far as I know there is no drinkable water. We always have some in the cooler where ever we go.

Not at the provincial campground. Thats where i was. There is a resort on the main highway and they may have that kind of thing. sorry to be little help. cheers

Campsites have both. I have always found the campsites well maintained. Park has two beaches one is dog friendly
