Chinese food tour

The tour was very enjoyable in spite of cold and rainy weather. Lots of history about Chinese culture in Vancouver, great food at several different spots and a great walk about. I would recommend it to anyone who loves interesting food and a very approachable and interesting guide.

Wonderful Tour!

This tour was an excellent way to learn about various Chinese cuisines, herbal medicines, history, Chinese teas, all while eating delicious food. Our tour guide Bob is clearly very passionate and it definitely contributed to this being such a positive experience. This was my personal tour of my trip to Vancouver and would highly recommend.

I've lived in Vancouver for over 8 years and never have gone to China Town - so happy that I did - this was an excellent tour and really opened my eyes to a vibrant community (excellent food to boot!)

Brilliant experience to learn about Chinese culture and food in Vancouver

We had an exceptional experience - this was definitely a highlight of our trip to Vancouver.
We learned about the history of Chinese experience in Vancouver, we experienced great food, great tea and great company through the day. Bob knows the food and the history through and through- he is an engaging guide and host who creates an atmosphere of conviviality throughout. Highly recommend!

Bob’s wok tour was the highlight of my trip to Vancouver! He was so personable and was able to accommodate my food restrictions. Learning about the Chinese history in this area, and being able to hear about his own personal connection and his family’s history in Vancouver made the experience more tangible to me. The food we sampled was delicious, as were the sweets. I loved that so many people said hi to him as we passed, which illustrated how integral he is to the community.

Visiting the Dr Sun Yat Sen garden was our favorite part. Having Bob there to point out things that we would have easily overlooked was priceless.

Bob shows a great love for the area and is trying hard to promote the wonderful aspects of Vancouver's Chinatown. He is well respected and extremely knowledgeable. Thank you for such a fun and interesting tour on a lovely sunny day in Vancouver!

Amazing Cultural Experience in Vancouver BC

Had a great time on this tour. Sampled some of the best Chinese food I've had in quite some time. The roasted pork with crispy skin was amazing. Highly recommended for anyone looking to learn about the Chinese culture in Vancouver BC.

Highly recommend this tour!

Bob and Thomas were fantastic and so knowledgeable. They made the experience accessible and very informative. The food was abundant and delicious (bbq pork, apple tart, tea tasting, dim sum).

Chinese/Canadian history and food.

Enjoyed learning about the rich history of chinese/canadians. Bob, our tour guide was very knowledgable and approachable. The food was wonderful! The garden was especially beatiful and we had a beautiful sunny cold day. Make sure you dress for the weather as you will be outside for most of the four hours. I only gave it a four rating because the dim sum luncheon at the end was rushed.
