Gray area to stroll the grounds. Very safe and easy walk on the cruise port. We have a new opportunities here as well and was great from historical perspective reading the statue/plaque

This park is a nice green space but the panhandlers made it impossible to just sit and enjoy a break.

A lovely historic square, but also seems to a gathering place for aimless folk smoking a lot of weed.

Nice little park in the city with interesting history. The Grandstand, which is the centre point of the park was the most interesting part for me. Lots of different Monuments and Memorials here to see. Street parking is available here too, especially in the morning.
Ended up here twice during our visit and there is a distinct difference between morning and night here, as it was getting a little sketchy at night. I could see the change occurring at dusk so best to visit here earlier in the day.
Worth a visit if you have time on your hands.

Very little (paid) parking in the area, surrounded by panhandlers and making the area look very unsafe. We didn't make it out of our car - just drove around it to have a look.

Beautiful park downtown close to the water with benches where you can sit and have a coffee and feed the birds and visit.

A historic park located in uptown Saint John is a salute to the Loyalist heritage of the city's founders. Hence the paths are designed in the shape of the British Union flag. Monuments pay homage to those that shaped the city’s heritage. Some trees in the square were planted in the 1883 Centennial Celebrations. Many of the tall trees that stand in the square today were planted for the 1883 landing of the Loyalists. In 1909 the special two-story bandstand was donated as attribute to King Edward VII (hence, the name). Unfortunately, the evening I walked through, my historic reflection was lost to several inebriated and stoned individuals…

Very small park surrounded by the evidence of an economically depressed town. Nice to sit in for ten minutes or so.

I grew up in New Jersey in the US, which is sometimes called the "Crossroads of the American Revolution." Imagine my surprise when I came for the first time to Saint John and discover that this is where many Loyalist refugees fled following the American Revolution. King's Square was founded in 1785 in honor of King George III. This is so very fascinating, and the square has some gorgeous features.

This was a nice resting spot at the top of the hill in the city with benches to sit on, lots of flowers and very friendly squirrels and pigeons
