McMaster’s Art Museum is worth visiting for one of their special exhibits. It’s easy to access the university campus and surrounding area. At the entrance you’ll find two locations for .ca bicycle rentals (sobihamilton): one at the parking lot/bus loop behind the little art museum, and another outside of campus at Sterling-Whitton. Bikes can just as easily be picked up or returned in front of the McMaster University Medical Centre as well, not far from Williams Cafe on Main Street W. If it’s a nice day and you want to explore the neighbourhood, there’s a nice park at Marion Ave-Dromore Crescent, which is also the entrance to both Cootes Paradise Sanctuary trail head, and also the Aviary /greenhouse of the Royal Botanical Garden. A pay parking lot is there, within walking distance of the university, or there are underground pay carlots by the university hospital. Visiting in summer is just as lovely as the early fall, either on or off the busy campus. The flora is beautiful even in Oct. when the leaves turn colour(s).

Sauf si vous devez vous rendre à l'Université McMaster , ne vous déplacez pas pour visiter ce " musée" qui présente quelques œuvres contemporaines dignes de travaux d'étudiants de beaux arts ,
Une exposition temporaire de l'Australien Gordon Bennett d'un intérêt artistique très relatif.
Une vitrine avec une minuscule collection de verreries Romaines ( notons une superbe bouteille au milieu d'objets de moindre intérêt)
Rien, absolument rien exposé en terme d'oeuvre d'art , notamment d'huile impressionniste.
Bref , ça ne justifie aucun déplacement particulier.
Entrée gratuite

Ce musée possède peut-être une collection riche mais on n'en voit rien. Seul intérêt : les quelques objets antiques à l'entrée de la galerie. Ne mérite pas le déplacement à moins d'être déjà sur le campus et que le musée organise une présentation de ce qu'il possède.

معرض الفنون التابع لجامعة مكماستر .. بالتاكيد تجربه مميزه اذا كنت عابرا من ذلك المكان مع الاهل والاصدقاء.

Fantastic collection and such a beautiful gallery space. Very friendly people who care about the art. The campus is beautiful too and a wonderful building - very fresh and clean.

The museum is quite small on the McMaster campus but free to visit. Nicely laid out and not crowded. Spend about 30 minutes here. Do come if you are close but don't go out of your way for this one.

Mac's Museum of Art has some beautifully assembled and thought-provoking displays. They are memorable enough to keep you thinking about them long after the visit.

This is a well-appointed small art gallery on two levels of a building adjacent to the Mills Library on the McMaster University campus. Admission is free and the staff are extremely friendly. The current exhibition of Expressionist Art (through 3 December) has some interesting minor pieces (drawings, woodcuts, etc.) by quite a few major European artists such as Edvard Munch and Kathe Kollwitz. There are also some contemporary works inspired by Expressionism. (These look more dated than the older stuff.) You won't leave any the wiser about what Expressionism was/is, but if you like art the exhibition will hold your attention for about an hour.
