Children must be at least 14 years old with a moped license, a license that allows minors to drive mopeds but not cars, to drive on their own. For your children of 6-13 years old, they may ride as a passenger with one of our guides or another member of your group who is at least 18 years of age with the proper licensing. A regular driver’s license is sufficient to drive a 50cc scooter (moped).

All drivers must be at least 16 years old with an automobile driver's license, or 14 years old with a limited moped license. No, a class 5 driver’s license is sufficient for our 50cc Honda and Vespa scooters. Some provinces also offer a special moped or scooter license, referred to as a class 6D in Quebec but possibly under different names in other provinces. The Quebec class 6D license allows you to drive 50cc mopeds and scooters only, and nothing else. A motorcycle license is required to rent our 150cc, 200cc, and 250cc Vespas.

Hola! Thank you for your question. You need a driver's license from your country, and a credit card for a damage deposit. The damage deposit is $750 CAD for Honda, and $1500 for Vespa. If you keep the scooter overnight, the damage deposit is $1000 CAD for Honda, and $2000 CAD for Vespa. We recommend that you make a reservation at least a few days before your desired rental time. We rented without a guide. 1) Between April 1st and October 31st the city offers several dedicated and free parking areas for motorcycles / scooters in and around the downtown core (Ville-Marie Borough). Do a search of the City of Montréal's website under motorbikes and parking. 2) In general the City of Montréal is pretty lenient when it comes to parking for scooters and small motorcycles. You can also park at the beginning or end of regular metered parking zones as well as in the open area at the end of Bixi stands. Just don't go beyond the part of the sidewalk where it starts to curve, then you'll get a ticket because you are impeding the area for pedestrians.
