Even better than Queribus ruin. Yes, the climb up is a little bit challenging but my wife with her heart condition was able to do it so it isn't all that difficult. Once again, the guide needs some work but other than that, it is a wonderful and impressive ruin to walk around and once again we had the place to ourselves, which makes it even better. The climb to the very top is a bit steep but it is worth it as the views from up there are very nice. It is a large ruin in several distinct pieces and its history is full of everything that makes a Medieval castle so neat.

Another great French castle with a lot of history. It's off the beaten track, but seems to be very popular nonetheless. Plenty of parking, but quite a long uneven walk from the entrance building to the first part of the castle - wear appropriate shoes. The castle covers an extensive site and there are several areas of buildings, in various states of repair. The views are second to none over surrounding mountains and valleys, as the castle buildings are perched really high up on cliffs. It can be windy at these heights, so take care with that and with the steepish and uneven slopes. An enjoyable visit. €7 for an adult - just over an hour to visit.

Une très belle vue mais qui se mérite un peu.C'est escarpé ,parfois glissant mais ça vaut le détour.Evitez les tongues pour aller jusqu'en haut.

Visitors should be made aware that the site is inaccessible for anyone with even a moderate disability. The path is not just steep, but very uneven, involving clambering up and over obstacles. The castle courtyard is also extremely difficult to navigate as it is on a steep gradient with rough ground. The photographs from above are misleading. There is no indication of this either at the site or in any of the publicity brochures.

Parking assez vite rempli et assez loin du départ ,accueil chaleureux.
Le parcours est assez escarpé et long mais c’est magnifique.

Impressive castle with a steep climb to the top. But the view from the top is definitely worth it and super fun to do even in the 35 degree days.

Visite sympa mais on aurait aimé en savoir plus sur ce château. Un simple flyer c'est un peu juste.. On a pas été bien conseillé à l' accueil : dommage ! Après, la vue est belle. Un conseil prévoir les chaussures de marche car pour y parvenir les chemins sont abruptes, avec beaucoup de pierres glissantes. Comptez 15 mn.

les prix pratiqués par les site sont inacceptables ( 9€ par personne) pour un couple et ses 3 enfants pré de 50 € ! on croit rêver. J'imagine que les prix pratiqués par les lieux autour sont du même ordre. ne cautionner pas boycotter ce lieu.

Bonjour Jean Luc, si vous étiez 2 adultes et 3 enfants, vous avez payé 31,50€ et non 50€ comme vous l'avez mentionne dans votre avis. À part cela, vous avez le droit de trouver le prix élevé mais peut être qu'il aurait été plus judicieux d'en discuter auprès du personnel de la billetterie.

puis je le visiter quand meme ?
je ne suis pas une grande sportive mais je pratique la marche le vélo et la natation

cette visite est assez physique, mais par beau temps et en prenant son temps, cela est envisageable. c'est un site superbe pour les amateurs d'histoire et de beaux paysages.

It's in French. We were however able to appreciate the action and enjoyed the show. Most of the visitors appeared to understand French.

Hello Susan, Apologies but I don't know because we went early in the day. If you google peyrpertuse their contact details come up and you can ask them directly. Do go though it's fabulous but try to pick a fay when the visibility is good and take a coat. Regards Russel
