We had a wonderful time with our guide, Mafee! We felt super safe and well taken care of throughout our 3 day trip.
Pretty otherworldly views up in Paramo. The food was excellent. We also loved staying at the finca.
Conditions were challenging, so definitely pay attention to the packing list (raincoat, puffy jacket, wool hat, etc.) We didn’t end up going with rubber boots, but we could see how they could be helpful.
This was a hard trip but super worth it. We would definitely go again.

Fantastic day hiking the Valle de Cocora. David was an excellent guide and we really enjoyed all his insights into this special part of Colombia. The scenery was stunning and we wouldn’t have discovered all the flora and fauna in the woods had we been on our own.
Highly recommend this hike and Paramo Trek were very good at organising and communicating.

We did the 2 day lookout trek and it was fabulous. What a unique and beautiful experience, starting in the cloud forest and then up to the paramo. The hike was hard, but the views were worth it! And it was so fun staying at a finca - the beds were super comfy and the common space nice and warm. Highly recommended!

Just finished a great four-day trek of Parque Los Nevados. The uphill was challenging at times, but very worthwhile. Make sure you ask for Jose, his knowledge of the area, plants, eco-system, and birds really made the trip. Staying in the campesino fincas was possibly the best part. Saw a tapir!

We did a 3-day hike through the Andean forest and paramo from Salento to Manizales. The guides were super friendly and helpful. We saw amazing views and nature. It was a very nice experience.

Paramo Trek were a great company to go with for a multiday hike in Los Nevados National Park. The hike was challenging and the weather wasn't ideal, but despite this, we felt well looked after and safe with our guide Mafee, who was fantastic. It was a real adventure! I would definitely recommend booking with Paramo Trek.

Best trekking company in Salento. We did the Cocora Valley tour and we had the best time with our tour guide, Mafe. She is very knowledgeable and so passionate about the valley! She showed us incredible places in the valley, such an amazing scenery. If you are in Salento, do not hesitate to book your tour with Paramo Trek.

We did the 4-day Cocora-Otún-Quimbaya trek as a couple with a private guide - a breathtaking hike, with 3 nights in remote mountain fincas.
Supremely well organised by Paramo Trek, with impressive attention to detail and a variety of personal touches and little surprises along the way!
Our excellent guide Mafe was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and confidence-inspiring. Huge thanks!
The route itself is extraordinary, taking in an amazing range of landscapes and ecosystems over the 4 days. The altitude can be a little challenging, but the pace of the trek is designed to help you acclimatise, and a few days hiking around Salento beforehand also helps. A reasonable level of fitness is needed.
The fincas are basic and very cold at night (in one case extremely so), but give you an incredible glimpse of a way of life high in the Andes, isolated from many of the trappings of modern living.
All in all, an enriching and unique experience. Highly recommended.

We really recommend to do hiking with the paramo trek ! It was a magical experience, physically and mentally:) we were lucky to be with Romel through this hike! We had even such a nice suprise at the end !

J'aimerais savoir si certains d'entre vous ont fait le trek de 2 jours une nuit vers le nevado Santa Isabel sans aucune expérience en alpinisme au préalable svp ? J'aimerais m'assurer que l'ascension reste "accessible" avant de réserver au vu du coût!

Hey there, I'm desperately trying to book a tour with Paramo Trek because they seem like a great company. But I don't get any useful responses from them in regards to whether the tour is available during my day of departure, price, how to book, etc. :(
I just wondered for those of you that have done tours with them, what was the best way you were in contact with them before booking and after booking the tour?

Hello, This year we have more rain than usual ( 2017 we are in the "Fenomeno de la niña"), Nevertheless the weather in the tropics always its unpredictable. Even with rain we still going to the mountains. It will be a experience for all hikers that want to visit our special ecosystems - Los paramos-. I invite you to think about it!
