Great things come in small packages. The Draycott Taphouse truly lives up to the label of Micropub, with a seating area not much bigger than a lot of living rooms, it packs a lot into a tiny place. The beers available are usually those brewed by the owner, with guest ales from local breweries making occasional appearances, and if you like real ale, then you are going to love them.
There are over 100 whiskeys from all over the world available for those who like a dram or two, and with events like the monthly held Whiskey tasting, or Whiskeyfest, you can get the opportunity to sample many that would otherwise have been overlooked for an all inclusive price.
There is often live music, showcasing local talent, including the incredibly talented owner himself "tickling the ivories".
And speaking of the owner, You will never meet a more friendly or charismatic person than Greg. He makes every visit a joy!

Had a lovely evening of whisky tasting. Fantastic hospitality and a great atmosphere. A great place to visit for any whisky fan or ale drinker.

Always a great atmosphere at events and always a friendly atmosphere. A great selection of local beers and interesting whiskies on offer. Run by a passionate owner Greg, who knows his stuff.

Great atmosphere, awesome beers and a crazy amount of whisky! Lots of events on from music and open mics to amazing whisky and gin tastings. My favourite place to go in Draycott

We have visited a few times now, just for drinks and for the events Greg runs, whisky tasting, gin tasting and most recently beer,bourbon and blues. A small venue, but always made welcome, great choice of Ales, ciders and spirits, including Greg’s own moonshine.
Smoked cheeses and varied food on the events, fabulous music from local musicians.
We keep coming back so it must be good.

Wonderful local micropub. Always a changing selection of outstanding locally brewed Ales, the Tap House serves as a brewery tap for the Draycott Brewing Company. Generally always three or four Draycott Ales on tap, including the marvellous California Steam Ale if you are lucky, and a selection of excellent guest beers. An enormous selection of Whiskeys, with something for every taste and pocket, as well as a number of ciders. It's a lovely place to pass the time - I guess a little old fashioned as the patrons take the time to talk to each other and chat as they drink! Worth a look on the website or Facebook page as there are frequently special nights such as a well supported Open Mic night, Whiskey and Gin Tastings and foody nights.
Opening hours can vary between winter and summer, but the Tap is generally open Thursday to Sunday. It has occasionally closed on Sunday as Greg has run out of beer! So it's best to check the Facebook page to make sure if you are planning a journey! Also it's dog friendly so you can bring your doggo in and they'll be welcomed.

The minute you walk into this pub it feels great and inviting. Good range of real ale (Draycott Brewery and 4 guests) all served from the cask and a good range of Gins, wines and 4 malt whiskey. Greg the owner and brewer very friendly, chatty and knowledgable one real ales, gives the place that warm friendly feeling. Highly recommend and we will be back.
