Postavit se pod proudy této léčivé vody, je velikým požehnáním. Nejen že se skvěle osvěžíte, ale ještě vám to neskutečně pomůže s duševním i fyzickým zdravím. Indové v to velice silně věří a já věřím, že k tomu mají své důvody. Cestou k těmto vodopádům procházíte tržištěm, kde lze zakoupit téměř cokoliv. Hlavně koření, suvenýry i něco dobrého na zub. Bylo nádherné se sem podívat a jsem za to vděčný. Tato voda je základem Ajurvédské medicíny.

Courtallam is famous for it's waterfalls. Must visit the coutrallam falls and five waterfalls. You will feel refreshed.

Main falls, five falls and old falls are few around the area.
Force of water is heavy and very refreshing. Beware of monkeys all around the place.
Advisable not to carry any valuables while going to falls as hard to monitor with lot of people around.
Lockers are available but still.

I used to go every year in the month of July/August in which season starts here. Climate will be at its best at this time with breeze and light drizzles. Main falls,five falls,chitraruvi and old courtallam are few falls here you cannot miss.

There was lots of falls in this area

There are many falls and Main falls is pathetic in maintenance. No water in Jan but still they collected entry fee. Careful on monkeys everywhere.

Visited in June during a long drive to Kanyakumari and in that season, many of the waterfalls were reduced to just trickles of water. That didn’t deter many Indians, men and women alike, from massing below the rocky outcroppings, trying to catch the tiny water streams with their bodies. Might be some religious thing I guess.
All in all, there’s nothing to see here in June for the typical tourist.. although I was somewhat impressed by the numerous ‘no plastic’ signs and overall effort to be eco-friendly in this area.

This is second time I visit, but this during the season of heavy downpour in the mountain lying on Kerala side. Sheets of Gushing, fresh, tasty and cold water make us panic in the beginning, but subsequently enthrall to stay under the falls. It's a wonderful experience to enjoy the shower and power of this water falls.

Very pleasant place during the season that is from June last week to first week of September. Went there during the off season period but the climate and water flow both in main falls and Fivefalls are super.. No crowd. Enjoyed very much. Be aware of hygiene in hotels and Street side Partheenium plants

I visited many times this place. I simply love it.
my last visit was disappointing as there were very less water. So police department made a queue and allowed only 30 seconds for each visitor. :(
Visited this year with lot of expectations. on arrival to main falls, the water flow was very good. I was very happy. even on a week day there was lot of crowd.
I went to take bath in the early morning 4 am. the crowd was manageable. water was cold and it was perfect environment to enjoy.
Then came the horror. the water was very contaminated. I took a sip of water, it didn't taste good & it was smelly. that did not stop me. stood under the falls for 45 minutes. when i came out i was having lot of inching sensation all over the body. I came back to hotel room & took bath. the same water there. the whole day i was having the sensation.
I am not having any sensitive skin.
It took almost 5-6 hours to come out of it.
Not sure how the spring water is contaminated. people with sensitive skin beware.

Water may be there. If no water In coutralam, still you can take bath in Agasthiyar water falls which is about 30 kms away from coutralam.
