This is a temple devoted for Lord Venkatachalapathy. This one of the oldest temples. We can visit this temple while visiting Courtalam falls.

This temple is dedicated to lord perumal. This temple is situated near courtallam. Its a very old temple. Not suitable for old age people as this place is hard to reach by vehicles.

A very old Temple to get the blessings of Venkatachalapathy. Transportation to this place is very hard. If there are elders, please book a car or cabs. Worth visiting this Temple.

2000 years old. Must see for history types. Sad that some of the drawings are defaced. Near Kuttralam main falls and try the hot halwas near by too.

this is an ancient temple the presiding deity being sri venkatachalapathy of tirumala(a.p). The moola vigraha as well as utsava vigraha are so beautifully carved. It is said that those who cannot go to Tirumala can fulfil the religious vows here and it will be deemed as having been fulfilled in Tirumala.
The temple is located in a small village called Thirvengadanathapuram 10 kms from Tirunelveli.The temple is situated on an elevated place and accessible by climbing a few steps. Even elderly can easily go up the steps. Though town buses ply from main bus stand, frequency is less n so waiting time may be long. Further the road is not so good in some parts of the journey n so it is advisable to engage a cab so as to have comfortable journey n to save time.
Special feature in this temple is the vahana of Garuda and Hanuman in metal which are so nicely carved. Particularly Garuda has a special eature. While Garuda in any other temple is seen with His wings spread in flying position , Garuda here is een with the wings in half folded position as if getting ready for landing
The temple is well maintained. This temple is not known much. I came to know about this temple from a resident of tirunelveli only recently, though i have gone to tirunelveli several times.
When u visit Tirunelveli make it sure to visit this temple by sparing a little of your time. It is worth visiting for those who are interested in seeing temples n worshipping .Temple is open from 7am to 11am and 5pm to 7 pm.
