Das Höhenfreibad Zwiefalten ist unbedingt ein Besuch wert.
Das Wasser im größten Schwimmerbecken ist recht frisch, aber dort soll man eben auch tatsächlich Schwimmen. Es ist dort ein beaufsichtigter 3- Meter- Turm und ein Einser- Sprungbrett vorhanden. Es gibt Startblöcke und 25- Meter- Bahnen.
Im kleineren Becken wird ein großes Kletterspielzeug befestigt, auf dem im Wasser getobt werden kann. Hier ist es Max. 1,40 m tief.
Für ganz kleine Kinder gibt es noch ein Baby- Becken zum planschen.
Das besondere Flair in Zwiefalten ist die Hanglage. Die Liegewiese ist teilweise ziemlich steil, was zum Lesen z.B. ganz praktisch ist.
Kiosk und Umkleidekabinen sind vorhanden. Die Dusche ist recht einfach, aber es kommt warmes Wasser....

Where else can you get a private pool and good hot food

This may be very well known to the locals, but these fantastic heated outdoor pools are rarely too busy to enjoy a nice swim, and sometimes you can have an entire pool to yourself! There are two full sized pools and a toddler pool. The toddler pool is just deep enough to have a splash around in, whilst the full sized pool, with its floating toys, is ideal for children still learning to swim. The third pool starts at 6' deep and gets deeper, with two diving boards to use if you like. As it is too deep to stand up in, people keep moving, this ensures that it never gets too busy and you can always enjoy a swim here, even when you don't have the pool all to yourself. Once you've had enough activity for the day, there are plenty of benches to sit or even lay down on. There is also a volley ball court, swings, table tennis and a library for you to pick a book to read whilst here. There is also a Cafe at the top of the hill serving hot and cold, food and drink. Being on a hillside it can be an effort to get from the pool to the cafe, but it is worth doing and the benefit of being on a hillside is that the view is superb. The cafe here must be tried, I've had potatoes wedges and chicken nuggets, both were fantastic and not expensive at all, despite the high quality. Service was also very good, and as such, I'd have no issue recommending anyone to visit here for a fun day out. Just know that it is best on a sunny day!
