Lovely garden.

You don’t need to have children with you to enjoy the magic of this beautiful garden. It is well laid out with many hidden areas, seats, and shelters, and it was so peaceful watching the wildlife around the pretty lake. The fairy doors and insect boxes are a work of art to be enjoyed by all. The café was good too; and the staff were great.

More of a childrens play area than garden

Nice gardens but disappointed in the lack of flowers in the gardens. Gardens were aimed more for children who I’m sure would absolutely love it. Cafe was ok though no panini’s available today and out of oat milk on a recent visit.

My friend and I visited today with our children (5yo girl, 4yo boy and 1yo boy) and had such a lovely time. The kids loved looking for the fairy doors and discovering the different routes we could take. There is a route on the map which is easier with the pushchair but we found most of it really easy in the buggy (it’s not a particularly robust buggy or anything). The playground for the kids was a real highlight too. The whole place was just very well looked after; a great balance between natural and accessible. We then had lunch at the cafe but you need to get there early to ensure you can get something savoury to eat as it seems to sell quickly and the second wave of visitors start at 1pm.

What a fantastic day out at this hidden gem in the New Forest. The gardens aren’t huge but there are so many paths and little routes around that you can walk as much or as little as you want. There are some great routes among the trees with hidden paths and plenty of shade. My children loved exploring in particular the kid’s play area. There are some great wooden climbing frames, little huts to explore, a boat and a life size fairy door. There is also a picturesque pond with bridges and a jetty. We all enjoyed looking out for fairy doors across the site.
Once you have finished exploring there is a delightful tearoom which was fully stocked even though it was a bank holiday weekend. We had a wonderful time and will be back!

Tip - ignore the sat nav once you leave the a31 as it sends you down a small track. You need to drive into minstead the turn before which is signposted from the main road.

Very pleasant visit on Saturday thank you. Particularly impressed by the lovely lady checking the tickets. Very friendly & helpful. She had moved her chair & table so that not only she but also the visitors were in the shade. Very thoughtful.

Fun in the garden cut short by the need to eat.

This is a beautiful place to visit, especially with children. A lot of effort has been put in to laying out the fairy trail and the secret play park.
However, this place lost a star as on the two occasions my family and I have visited in the last week there has been no savoury food available. Both times were at lunch time 12.00 and 1.00 so a little disappointed especially as we had promised a 3 year old a children's box. [Nothing for children either}.
Apparently they no longer do the soup, jacket or the ploughmans lunch that is shown on the website and by midday there were no sandwhiches either only cake. As this is a charity they were certainly losing a lot of money by having no food to purchase by lunch time.

So worth a visit for all ages

This place is a must for anyone who loves gardens, lakes, alpacas, fairy doors not to mention the great cafe. Entry is by an agreed donation which goes to a charity which makes it all the more important for people to visit. The winding paths swathed in colourful plants and flowers, different at different times of the year make for a lovely wander and the alpacas in the meadow are very cute too. There is a gift shop and plants for sale too. Lovely place

Finally got round to visiting. We came on a week day in term time when the gardens were not too busy, and spent about 3 hours here. Very peaceful and pretty with lots of beautiful flowers; lots of different paths to take (probably not very accessible for anyone who is unsteady on their feet or wheelchair users). Nice selection of plants to purchase, as well as a small gift shop which included some lovely handmade gifts. Staff were friendly, pleasant and helpful. Good facilities.

I was expecting to see far more planted areas. I followed the map, but it would have been a good idea if they also put the occasional sign around as I got lost!

We are sorry to hear that your visit did not meet your expectations and we are sorry to hear that you got lost. We do try to limit the number of signs, however take your comments on board. Thank you for taking the time to provide a review, at this time of year our main spring flowering season has finished, however we do feel that there is still plenty of summer interest in our borders, cottage garden and lake areas. We hope you will visit us again in spring when our azaleas and rhododendrons are at their peak.

Furzey gardens is a very special place to visit my family love it here this is why we. Renew our memberships every year good that the trust support people with learning disabilities so they can engage in activities and work placements around the trust

friendly and chatty I was chatting to Josh one day and he told me that he was leaving soon to complete in a apprenticeship to become a chef will be sad but will also know what he said to us was he is staying with the trust but making the cakes and other stuff that the lovely cafe sell so good luck to him
