Great place with excellent accessibility! Staff were outstanding when our electric wheelchair failed and let us borrow a manual one. Lovely place to visit and value for money. Great place to visit especially with little ones !

I have been a regular visitor to Manor Farm Country Park for years, but sadly, the place has gone downhill recently. What was once a beautifully maintained, charming Victorian farm now feels neglected and over-commercialised. The grounds are in disarray, with overgrown nettles, brambles, and unkempt paths making it difficult to explore. Even the once-beautiful churchyard is now an overgrown mess.
The heart of the farm, especially the warm atmosphere created by the dedicated staff, seems to have vanished. The absence of long-time staff members, particularly Farmer Chris, has left a noticeable void. They were the reason so many families, including mine, returned again and again. Without them, the farm feels soulless, and the vibrant energy it once had is gone.
It’s clear something has changed in the management. The park used to be so well looked after, with exciting events and plenty to keep the kids entertained. Now, it just feels disconnected and sad. Hampshire County Council really needs to step in and address this decline. What was once a happy, thriving place is no longer worth visiting. I won’t be bringing my children back until things improve, which is truly a shame.

We have a season ticket to the farm and find there's always different activities to do.
The farm is a good size with plenty of animals to see.
There's always different activities to do in the main barn and around the farm.
The re is also a play area and cafe.

Not quite sure where to start.
Hardly any animals. No interaction with the animals apart from chucking some apples at pigs and stroking the small furries.
Also the pig one had barbed wire along the floor which little hands as well as little trotters are at high risk of being hurt.
Paid £4 extra to do a pirate and fairy trail which was mundane even for our two year old.
Play area was okay but we didn’t pay to go for that, we paid entrance to see animals.
Food available within the cafe and play barn was disappointing.
Wish we had gone to Staunton farm or longdown instead, much better value for money and full interaction with the animals including feeding/ giving lambs milk/ tractor rides/ meeting and holding baby chicks and a grey play area for children
We just expected more and wanted to visit a new farm for my daughters upcoming birthday and yeah, all aspects were disappointing.

Manor PlayBarn/ Manor historical Farmhouse but no longer the charm of the previous "Manor Farm".
Sadly, this it has lost all its previous charm as it's now much more commercialised. If it wasn't for the playbarn, there is very little to offer now especially for older children and families.
The house and the staff that work in the house are the main draw now but as it is advertised as manor farm and not manor farmhouse there seems to be little interaction as a farm like their once was.
Being half-term, we thought there would be more on but a paper trail with wordy facts was about it. We saw craft activities that we went to do but found the room had been locked up after lunch so were unable to do them and there was nothing available in the farmhouse as usual either.
We made a den down in the woodland area but we could have done that in any free woodland without having topay entrance fees.
Having previously purchased a season pass, there needs to be regular daily things to do in all the weeks of the year in order to make it value for money and to repurchase a pass again.
The rural charm and interaction of going on walk around farm with farmer Chris and feeding pigs, chickens, goats seems to have now been replaced with milking a plastic cow and recently with its udders cut off.
Yes, there is a timetable saying when you can "meet" animals but stroking a guinea pig doesnt quite cut it for a farm, especially compared to previous years when throughout the year, you could feed chickens, bottle feed lambs, groom ponies, milk goats/cows. All the animals seem to be grazing far away in paddocks which is great for animals but we didn't pay to play "I spy".
We used to love manor farm but it's current position seems to be conflicting state between being a historical farmhouse and modern playbarn. One lap around the "farm" after the draw of the playbarn and outdoor area is all it took before the kids (8 and 11 years old) announced "we're bored, can we go home" which is sad, as being outdoor kids they loved visiting all day long in previous years.
Fortunately, we are local and entered using the last days on our yearly pass that was gifted to us but if we had paid almost £40 to enter after travelling from afar, we would have been greatly disappointed.

Great day out lots to do and see. Plenty of seating at the right places to take a breather and watch the kids at play . The cottage and school interiors are delightful , authentically furnished with items true to the past. Thankfully a complete absence of plastic signage just lots to appreciate . Staff are kind courteous and clearly as much in love with this place as I am. Please let it remain untouched by 'improvement' .

Haven’t visited for many years, when it was a beautiful little complex full of farmyard animals and hens and geese all running loose, a typical farm. Not any more! The magic of a farmyard has gone. Now more like a theme park! Expensive for what it is. For ourselves and two grandchildren, £36, which wouldn’t be so bad if they actually had any animals. Plastic cows and sheep do not compensate for the real thing! To their merit, there has been a large investment in the infrastructure, which I’m sure will be vastly improved when they actually have some animals in situ. No petting farm, so no interaction for the children. We left within the hour Very disappointing!

I see somewhere someone had pit down you can go crabbing here. Is this correct as I love crabbing ?
เขียนเมื่อ 14 สิงหาคม 2017
There are a couple of jetty areas inside the park area, before you reach the farm. Lots of people crabbing there.
