This park is here to commemorate the landing of Christopher Columbus from what I understand. There are numerous displays for you to read and objects to see and interact with. (Canons, grave markers, tools, etc.) Fortunately we had a guide to tell us the history of the area. It’s not like your typical North American park but that’s what adds to character of the place. It’s not very big so don’t plan on spending more than a half hour there.

The park is located on the main highway in St. Ann, Jamaica, about 5 minutes from Discovery Bay. It’s a quick photo op! Beautiful views of the mountains in St. Ann and a view of Puerto Seco Beach across the water. The quick history lessons are marked in the artifacts that can be found there.

Such a shame here isn’t shouted about more , the only reason we learnt about it as our local taxi driver Delroy knew we liked history so he stopped here for us on the way to Falmouth.
I can’t believe Jamaica doesn’t use this to their advantage so much history here with loads of Beautiful sceneries .
We was very lucky one of the local stall holders come down and gave us a very in-depth knowledge look around.
We could of gone around on our own but he was a very polite man who knew his stuff about the area so we learnt more than just reading the little they had there .
It’s free so it’s worth a stop to say you have been .

We drove 45min to see this “museum”. It looks like an abandoned ruin. It is definitely not a museum and there is nobody to give you a guided tour. You’re supposed to walk around and read the signs for yourself, walking down the steps towards the water. It was raining so we couldn’t do much. Drove back after spending a few minutes there.
The place is looking bad and so much garbage is left around the place.

Place is a bit run down, entry was free, took a few photos and got a good history lesson. even tho it is no longer being cared for, if you care about the history of Jamaica its still worth a stop

Lugar muy bonito e interesante, pero el gobierno n o lo tiene mantenido y están las cosas destrozadas y caídas. Antes había hasta un telescopio. La proa del barco está rota, etc.
No te suelen llevar y si quieres vas por tu cuenta. Hay gente para agobiarte y que compres.

Easily accessed from a road side, has couple of "monuments" 2-3 picturesque spots, free entrance for us.

If you are a person who is interested in history and relics of history, then this is the place for you. It conveys a little part of the Jamaican history. This park has a lot of potentials and just need a little TLC. It has quite a few relics from the past and is not preserved it will gradually go away and this would be so sad. I stopped bay and there is no charged. The writings on the plaques and monuments are faded and difficult to read. The site is overlooking the Discovery Bay Bauxite Port.

Tolle Aussicht, Park ungepflegt und lohnt für einen extra Ausflug nicht. Park ist sehr klein. Restaurant daneben ganz nett.
