This temple is located on the south side of the street where the Night Bazaar is located, in the area opposite Big C. The temple is quite large considering its location, but there were no people there. You can visit it quietly, but there is nothing particularly interesting to see, so it doesn't make much of an impact.

Went to Toey Dim sum but it was too early and it wasn't open for business, We walked to Wat Si Don Chai for a visit.
Wat Si Don Chai is another big temple in the area, it housed in a large block of land with number buildings surrounding the main temple, its structure is quite beautiful with ornament decorated on its roof. Inside the main temple is similar set up to other temples in Chiang Mai, except the statue of its venerable sitting on a chair, first of all we thought he was a real person and alive, after few minutes we found out it is the statue. Cheese!!! amazing how they created a statue like a live person at first seen.
The Wat Si Don Chai is on maintenance while we were there,.Definitely once it finished, The temple will have more beautiful look and could be very busy by the coming Songkran Festival in Mid April.

야시장 입구에 위치하고 있는 사원으로 화려하고 아름다운 사원이다. 그러나 대대적으로 보수공사를 하고 있다. 입구 오른쪽에는 4대의 소방차가 자리잡고 있는걸 보니 임시 소방서로 생각이 든다.

Nice temple next to Pantip Plaza. When I was there there was a little scaffolding at the back and there was some sort of lunch/party going on at the front with tables and chairs under a canopy so I could get a good view of the temple.

ナイトバザール通り南側、パンティッププラザの向かいです。出入口はナイトバザール通りです。入口左側に金色の仏塔、その前に大きな２階建ての礼拝堂、礼拝堂は二階、一階は集会所です。礼拝堂の入口は東側、ナイトバザール通りと反対側です。そして、礼拝堂入口の左側に新しい本堂、右側は四角い２階建てのお堂と新しい祠、僧侶の住居等があります。礼拝堂前は広場となっており、以前は駐車場になっていましたが、新しい本堂が出来て駐車禁止となりま、駐車場はナイトバザール通り側入口の右側だけとなりました。広場の先も出入口でCHホテル方面に行けます。ナイトバザールの賑やかな通りに面してますが、お寺は静かです。ただ、礼拝堂、本堂の左側に学校があり、子供たちの声が聞こえ、授業が終わるとお寺境内に入って来て賑やかになります。特に特徴があるお寺とは思いません。以前は、礼拝堂の扉はいつも閉まっていましましたが、本堂が出来て常時開いており、また、本堂では毎夕僧侶が礼拝をしていました。礼拝堂は金ぴかな２体の仏像が前後にあり、特に夕方に見たときは光り輝いており綺麗でした。なお、新たに建設したのは、本堂、祠、それにお寺名板で、本堂建設は２年位かかったでしょうか。

This is the temple nobody's heard of. There's no English signs at the temple giving the name. The two storied Viharn is spectacular with plenty of glittering mosaic and scenes of the Buddhist hell carved on the window shutters.Inside there's the usual murals of the Vessantara jataka lining the walls. The ubosot is modern with cute little sema boundary stones. The ho trai is new and in the Lanna style with teak upper floor. There's also some nice old wooden kuti monk's quarters. The small chedi is in the Burmese style.

Wat Si Don Chai was built about 130 years ago, and during this past month (May 2019) it has been completely repainted. It is a joy to explore and offers a wealth of photographic opportunities.
There is a very large main hall, a number of interesting smaller buildings, Statues, accommodation blocks and a vast area for parking - when there is not a special event happening.
Wat Si Don Chai often has a variety of ceremonies going on, some of which take up the vast open areas.
There is a large stupa at the rear of the main hall, in an area which appears to be a small cemetery with a number of interesting tombs. The main hall is sometimes closed, as it was when I last visited.
Wat Si Don Chai is opposite the Pantip Plaza in the night bazaar area of Changklan Road - so very easy to find. Do go, you won't be disappointed.
Highly recommended.

近くにアヌサーン市場やパンティッププラザがあり、最近本堂が綺麗になったりしていますが、通りすがりにお参りさせてもらうほどです。
