Not only does the museum look beautiful from the outside, but the inside is no worse, and even better. The visit is free, there are excursions, there is a self-guided tour, there is an audio guide using a QR code. There are 3 floors to visit, 2 of which are permanent exhibitions. The interior is modern, stylish, there is a lot of interactivity (press the button - the lamp will light up/the video will start), including a game format. I liked the magnifying glass, which you need to move to look at the plants, and the old telephones with retro recordings of conversations. Lots of multimedia - touch screen terminals. And the exhibits themselves are quite good - a bunch of colored minerals, processed and not very well, an exclusive stand - samples from the Kola Superdeep, new minerals formed by a nuclear explosion, etc. The videos about ore mining and processing are clear and accessible (except for the drying stage - they didn’t understand it at all). There is a nice souvenir.

The museum with a unique collection of minerals from the Khibiny tundra, the Kola Peninsula and the whole world was founded almost immediately after the founding of Khibinogorsk (Kirovsk) in 1931. The museum moved to its current building on Lenin Avenue in 2007. There are eight main exhibition halls with multimedia installations, an exhibition space, a thematic exhibition “Life and Customs of the Russian Empire”, as well as a multimedia exhibition on the seven floors of the clock tower “Journey from the bowels of the Earth to the atmosphere”. The main exhibition (1st and 2nd floors) tells and shows with the help of real and multimedia exhibits: the history of the development of Khibiny and the founding of the Apatite plant, the collection of Khibiny minerals (more than five hundred), the systematic collection of minerals of the world (more than three thousand), stages of mining and enrichment apatite-nepheline ore. Visiting the museum is free.

The Apatit Museum and Exhibition Center is the corporate museum of the PhosAgro Group of Companies, the largest European manufacturer of phosphate fertilizers and the world leader in the production of phosphate raw materials. It is located in the center of Kirovsk, in a building with a clock tower.
The museum exposition is mainly devoted to minerals, methods of their extraction and processing and includes 8 halls of the main exhibition (GK "PhosAgro", History of the development of the Khibiny and the creation of the enterprise, Gifts to the enterprise, Geology of the Khibiny, Geology of the Kola Peninsula, Systematic collection of minerals of the world, Underground mining, Open pit mining and Ore beneficiation), exhibition center, exhibition “Life and Customs of the Russian Empire” with a collection of items from Russian everyday life, as well as a multimedia exhibition in the clock tower “Journey from the bowels of the Earth to the atmosphere”.
Here you can learn everything about the nature of the Khibiny, about their development and the beginning of the development of apatite deposits, and get acquainted with the collection of gifts from PhosAgro Group partners, many of which are real works of art. There are many photographs and documents on which you can trace the chronology of the origins of local mining. One of the halls displays a rich collection of minerals and rock ores, some of which are mined on the Kola Peninsula. Some of the halls are dedicated to the technology of mining and processing of rocks. Models of mines and production equipment are presented here. By pressing a button you can clearly follow the technical process.
On the third floor of the building you can see a collection of ancient samovars.
A chic and modern museum, equipped with the most modern equipment, many interactive stands. The exhibitions are beautifully designed. By picking up the receiver of an ancient telephone, you can hear the voices of Kirov and the pioneers of Khibiny.
On the ground floor there is a souvenir shop where you can purchase minerals and products made from them.
Surprisingly, visiting the museum is completely free, as are excursions, but for this you must first submit an application on the website. You can also download the audio guide by reading the QR code on your smartphone. Some of the exhibitions, namely the 2nd part “Life and Customs of the Russian Empire” and “Journey from the Earth’s Interior to the Atmosphere” can only be visited as part of an excursion.

Очень познавательно. Огромное количество минералов, камней из разных уголков света. Также есть залы в которых наглядно показывается весь тяжкий процесс добычи фосфатов. Экскурсии проводятся бесплатно (экскурсовод действительно старается, а не работает на отстань), нужно только подать заявку на офф.сайте. Рекомендуется не только детям, но и взрослым (раз уж приехали =)

Люблю Кировск. И люблю этот музей. Один из лучших музеев, что я видела. Очень интересный и познавательный. Однозначно обязательно к посещению.
Музей включает два этажа регулярной экспозиции, и третий этаж для привозных выставок. На первом этаже можно узнать всё об истории освоения Хибин, первых поселениях и начале разработки месторождений апатита,
зарождении горнорудного дела, особенностях природы. Посмотреть коллекцию подарков от партнёров Фосагро. На втором этаже - мои любимые залы с коллекциями минералов. И ещё залы в которых показана изнутри работа в рудниках. Есть макеты производственного оборудования. Достаточно технологично рассказано об особенностях добычи и переработки горных пород. Очень богатая и красивая экспозиция камней, экспозиции оформлены великолепно, много интерактивных стендов начиная от увеличительных стекл и заканчивая электронной доской с вопросами, старинные телефоны по которым можно послушать Кирова и других перевооткрывателей Хибин. В музее будет интересно детям. Экспозиция достаточно локаничная, но все по делу. Аудиогид загружается через считывание QR-кода на своём смартфоне или в приложении izi.Travel. Экскурсия в башню по предварительной записи. Персонал сдержанный, приветливый, подскажут, что нужно. Время ожидания минимальное: пришли в музей, сдали вещи в гардероб и пошли смотреть экспозицию, система поточная на самообслуживании. Планируйте минимум часа 2, чтобы все внимательно рассмотреть. В целом как небольшая пауза после катания - отлично. И самое главное - музей бесплатный, что, конечно, очень приятно. Рекомендую. Я думаю каждый найдёт в нем интересные для себя экспозиции. В музее шикарная сувенирная лавка, где можно купить на память кусочек хибинского минерала, который вам особенно понравился. Ну или любой обычный сувенир.

Огромная коллекция минералов, интересные макеты, интерактивные познавательные игры. Бесплатное не только посещение, но и экскурсии. Приходили сюда 2 раза и придем третий.

Шикарный музей. Современный, интерактивный. Не ожидали, что будет так интересно. Очень много узнали об истории региона, его природе и развитии. Поняли как все там добывается и перерабатывается. Зашли от нечего делать, т.к. канатки не работали из-за погоды, в итоге зависли почти на три часа. Дети будут в восторге, да и взрослые не заскучают. Гида брать не обязательно, в каждом зале имеются QR-коды, скачав который можете прослушать полный рассказ о конкретном зале, понадобится только телефон и наушник.
