My Dad and I went out with Captain Neil over Labor Day Weekend. For the last six months, my Dad's talked about how great of a day we had fishing. He's usually a tough critic with high standards, and I can't remember another time when he seemed to be so satisfied with a fishing charter, so I felt the need to leave a review.
I had an incredible time as well, but I come along on these fishing trips more to spend time with my Dad than fish, so if he's happy than I'm happy. That being said, if you've never fished for bluefin tuna than you are missing out on a once in a lifetime experience. These beasts are like having a lion at the end of your fishing pole. There really is no comparison to the power of these fish.
What makes Captain Neil so great? It’s rare to have an experienced and talented Captain that is also so eager to offer a fantastic fishing experience. Neil is down to earth and understands that at the end of the day --- the point of the trip is to make sure the customers have a great time. I'm sure we, along with other customers, made suggestions to change fishing tactics that he doesn't agree with or knows from experience aren't worth the hassle, but never did Neil let his experience or ego get in the way (this is a skill that I'm told is is rare with many talented captains running charters.)
So we asked to do the kite? Neil said no problem and had the kite all set up. We sat for a little while with no bites, and asked to move? Neil said no problem and got on the radio to ask if anyone was getting bites. My Dad even suggested that Neil get a fishing chair for his boat, and from what I've been told, Neil seems to be seriously entertaining the idea. The point is that Neil goes above and beyond to please his customers. He gets it! He even sent us a thumb drive with movies from our fishing trip.
Neil is a part of bluefin tuna fishing history. Neil's father was one of the first people to start fishing for bluefin and is really a fishing legend. Neil brought us into his work shop and showed us some of the hooks that his father created before tuna fishing really took off. It was a cool experience.
And the most important question? Did we catch anything? We caught two tuna before lunch and then hung out with Neil for a little while at his hotel before heading home. We plan to go out again this year, and I think it’s safe to say that we will be sticking with Neil.

What a awesome experience it was. The weather was good, the Atlantic was calm.
We know there is no guarantee to catch a Tuna, but we were so lucky. After one hour out on the water we had one on the hook. Captain Neil Perry is very professional, friendly and has incredible knowledge. It was a great day out there with our friends and I would recommend it.

There are no guarantees when you go fishing but we are catching 700 to 900 pound tuna every year. Weather can be a factor so book a week, great motel, great captain and the best hospitality.

Chartered Captain Neil's boat for the second time with two friends, we will try to make this a yearly event. Service and hospitably are excellent, Neil is a very experienced captain with a well kept boat and always managed to find the Giant Blue Fin Tuna.

During the summer of 2012, my business partner and I decided that we needed a relaxing, albeit exciting, retreat. We researched several venues and decided on a Blue Fin Tuna fishing expedition. Further research lead us to Island's End Tuna Charters in Tignish PEI. We were not disappointed! We arrived at Capt. Neil and his lovely wife, Wendy's, Island End Motel situated on the picturesque and quaint North Cape of PEI. Our rooms were immaculate and the view of the ocean was stunning. The following day we were on Capt. Neil's amazing tuna boat and "hooked up" to Giant Blue Fin Tuna in no time!! The entire trip was outstanding; so much so that we returned in August of 2013 and had the same terrific success!!

There is never a guarantee that you are going to catch a fish but we are batting 1000 with this charter. Neil Perry has a life time of fishing experience, knows where the fish are and he knows how to catch them. I have the pictures to prove it!!

Catch and release rule in maritimes. The captain owns the fish and is permitted to keep one a year which they usually save for their regulars .
